It was a huge part of the discussions here, which you might not have seen under that account ID... and it was part of the teachers' argument when it happened.

He was told not to show the thing around.

So the argument is, and I'm sure you'll find a way to correct me on this, that because the kid touted around a clock in a pencil case that he was told not to show to any other teacher after he had shown his engineering teacher. He only showed it to his engineering teacher, but when he plugged it in and an alarm within the deconstructed clock went off, his english teacher requested to see it and came to the conclusion that it looked like a bomb. After that the actions by the school were discriminatory, claiming that he had made a hoax bomb which are illegal. That being said, for something to qualify as a hoax bomb there must be ill intent which I see none of on the part of Ahmed.

I don't know that the school was calling it a "hoax bomb". A lot of people have, but I don't know about the school. Apparently someone in the school found it "suspicious".... and though it could possibly scare other students. That's all I know the school has said.

But yes he was told not to show it around and disobeyed.
Then when the thing started disrupting class and he was sent to the office (something they only do to Muslims, I'm sure) and the realization that this kid's sister was previously suspended over a bomb threat... they started taking things pretty seriously.

Cops seem to have overreacted, in my opinion.... but nobody was wrong to question this small briefcase with a bunch of wires, a circuit board and an LED readout.

Even the kid said he didn't put a lock on it, because he was worried it would look "suspicious".

He knew.... and he disobeyed. Now he is rewarded...... guess why.....

I could be wrong, but I thought Trayvon Martin circled back around to confront and ambush Zimmerman. If so, that wouldn't be him standing his ground (which wasn't even used in the case it was Self-Defense), but would be Trayvon looking for a conflict with the guy he thought was a homosexual.

Even though OJ was found not guilty, he's still a murderer in their eyes.

Saint Zimmerman was found not guilty, and because of that nobody can question what happened the night he killed Martin. We HAVE to take Zimmerman's word as gospel because a jury found him not guilty.

I'm not defending a low life like OJ mind you, I just find it interesting how conservative double standards work.
