Americans should be the out cast of the world until their gun masacres stop

I go to Mexico often, and there are certain parts I'll never go.

I don't think that people are trying to make the US to be the bad guy. I think that they're sick and tired of our sanctimony, claiming to the greatest country on earth while pretending that we have no problems at home.

 

You are correct many foreigners won't directly try to make the US out as a bad guy, they simply prod progressive liberals here to do it for them...

 

Since you apparently oppose someone owning a lot of firearms, do you believe because they own them that they're the ones who will become criminals? Anything to support that idea, or just an assumption as an outsider? Adding people to a no fly list should require something more substantive than how many weapons someone owns unless you have a statistic that shows them to be highly likely of using one or more of them in a crime.

Of course gun running penalties should be more harsh. We could start with Holder if you'd like. No weapons should cross the borders without first complying with laws of both nations to do so. I don't know anyone who would argue your point about smuggling weapons.

what a great idea. why don't you just build a big wall around us and leave us to ourselves. of course you might notice a few things missing from around the world. things like the trillions of dollars of investments we make across the globe or the aid we send out in billion dollar increments. we are, after all, quite capable of getting along without the rest of you self-righteous twits, unlike so many other nations. we have the capacity to fill our own food and energy requirements for the foreseeable and our technological advancement is second to none. once we pull in all the tendrils of the great american machine we would have the greatest stockpile of wealth the world has ever known and it would be nice to be able to just relax and use all that power to develop our own homeland. once you build that wall maybe we could finally get rid of the millions of illegals. i can even imagine some budding entrepreneur building a ferry service so that all those deserving souls from mexico and south america could be delivered straight to canada, by-passing us nasty americans and allowing our own poor to fill the positions formerly taken by that particular blight. we could get on with our lives and the rest of you could get on with yours.

who knows, you might just get a month or two of peace out of the whole deal, but it probably won't last long. you may not have american arms flowing out into your sad little world, but i'm sure the russians and the french will pick up the slack. after all, there are still countless ak's floating around out there, a supply that i'm sure putin and his cronies will be glad to update, and those frogs never have been too particular about who they sold their weapons to. i'm sure the chinese will want to get in on the fun (hope you don't mind those knock-offs jamming at the most inopportune times) and you'll be awash in mayhem in no time. but this time don't come knocking on our door when you get in the middle of one of those little dust-ups you are so fond of (remember those two european wars and the various conflicts you've asked us to step into in eastern europe and elsewhere), we won't be home. we'll just sit here behind our wall, our shores protected by superior naval power, our skies cleared by an air force more than up to the task and our nuclear power a deterrent capable of frightening even the most bloodthirsty opponent, and watch you deal with the omnipresent middle-eastern problems, as well as your own tendencies toward self-destruction.

what amuses me most about idiotic positions like the one presented by the op is that there are folks out there that are buying into the hype. whenever i hear news from around the world i take it with the appropriate grain of salt. i know that lies are the stock in trade of governments around the world and that the media, whether controlled by the state or not, has its own ax to grind. i know that statistics can be fudged and "facts" altered for effect, but it seems there are a lot of folks out there that haven't learned that lesson. they hear the buzz-words designed to elicit distrust, fear or envy and they fall in line to denigrate the proffered scapegoats. they get so involved with one aspect of a situation that they become incapable of even considering the big picture.

the rich kid on the block may be obnoxious, but he's got the cool toys. you quit playing with him and you don't get to play with his toys.

The homicide capital of the world is Latin America, under your own precedent, white countries should isolate themselves from central and south America, as well as the Caribbean.
