Obama to make primetime address after California attack.....

President Barack Obama will make a rare primetime address to the nation Sunday laying out how he will keep Americans safe and defeat the Islamic State group, days after 14 people were shot dead in California. Obama declared Saturday that the United States "will not be terrorized," as IS praised the couple behind the mass shooting in San Bernardino as "soldiers" of its self-proclaimed caliphate.

"We have moved to an entirely new phase in the global terrorist threat and in our homeland security efforts," Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson told the Times.

1) Reassure us that ISIS is fully contained.
2) Warn us about judging all Muslims based on "a couple isolated incidents".
3) Advise us this is a gun problem, not a religious war.
4) Remind us of the crusades.

Don't kid yourself. He'll use the bombing to tell the American people that in order to protect them he needs to send more troops to Iraq. That American troops are almost as unwelcome as the Turkish troops doesn't matter. The fear is that if the US doesn't go, then Russia or Iran will have to defend Iraq against the Turkish incursion. ..and that might disturb the oil flow.

To add to this, Russia has been heavily bombing the militant Turkmen in the corridor Turkey wanted for its no fly zone. Eliminating it would connect two Kurd enclaves in Syria. Right now both the US and Russia are supporting the Syrian Kurds.

In the meantime, a Kurd official spoke to congress last week and said that all the Kurds have now united, so it's an opportune time to form a Kurd nation.

Let's see if my assumptions are correct.

He will use the California shooting to appeal for more bans on weapons in the hands of law abiding citizens while leaving the Chicago gang bangers in possession of illegal firearms, which shoot straight and kill more innocents than ISIS ever thought of doing.

Than he will continue his campaign, now in its 7th year, for election to the Presidency. He will tell us what should be done; what could be done; what will be done; what ought to be done, over and over - and of course, it will be the same - nothing ever will be done.

When Obama goes into his rant about people on the "No Fly List" and their right to buy a gun, remember some Liberals consider all Conservatives (As in "Tea Party Members") or members of the NRA as terrorist of sorts and could be placed on the NFL. From there, maybe people owing taxes or having overseas banking accounts or other interest. Said another way he could just say all people with guns, could be terrorist and get it over with....

Turkey has 34 ships in the area with 20 warships of all types and 14 auxiliary vessels. Among them are three corvettes, a submarine and a frigate which is constantly in motion to monitor the Turkish waters.

Russia has sent 13 ships Besides air and naval base in Tartus and Latakia, Russia has 13 warships in the Mediterranean, one of them is the cruiser "Moscow", 2 antiorpilika, one frigate 2-3 submarines and other auxiliaries. According to reports the aircraft carrier "Kouznetsof which is now in Murmansk, has a new navigation system and a new air defense system, and will sail for the region escorted by two 'next generation' submarines.

The United States has sent to the eastern Mediterranean region three destroyers carrying the air defense system AEGIS.

France has one aircraft carrier, two destroyers and one frigate, while in the area there is the electronic intelligence ship.

Italy has a frigate and a submarine.

I was in the gym on Friday in the back row of treadmills, each treadmill has its own tv. Since I was on the back row I could see what a bunch of other guys were watching, most were on Fox News. obama came on, and all but 2 people changed the channel. One guy gave obama the finger then changed the channel.
