As a white person, you better believe I always felt a great sense of pride that most of the characters in Star Wars were white. It made me feel like it was mine, as a white person.

It's a nice break form being racist to every other race.

I don't think you know what a background character is, Lando and Mace are secondary characters, a background character is like say Cin Drallig from Revenge of the Sith.

The Internet is up in arms after seeing the latest Chinese version of the Star Wars promotional poster. When looking closely, it is clear that not only are the Black characters missing, but the star of the film, John Boyega, was drastically shrunken in size compared to the U.S. version.

I assume that this leading lady, played by Daisy Ridley, belongs to the Skywalker family and she's a sister of a famous character as one of the movie trailers revealed.

I never had a problem with Lando...except when he betrayed Han lol

Billy D Williams once told a story how when picking up his kids from school, he had to defend lando's actions to the other kids. He was like, I had no choice! They were holding the cloud city hostage!... lol

There's nothing white about Star Wars, it's chock full of "diversity" - they have white people, black people, green people, brown hairy people, etc. This isn't the first time Star Wars featured a black person anyway.

Despite the media's tendency to be politically correct, this is a pretty stupid complaint considering that Star Wars is a Sci-Fi movie with characters who are completely different species, so whining about the inclusion of different races in a film series featuring Green Aliens, Sasquaches, an army of Teddy Bears, etc is a waste of time.

Which trailer? Because the only way she could be a Skywalker is if she's like an illegitimate daughter of Vader's which would really impact the meaning of his story whereby he had still after decades not gotten over the fact that he was responsible for Padme's death. Like the pathos of his character would be irrevocably changed for the worse with a revelation like that.

I'm not even interested in the new Star Wars, I though it was supposed to be a continuation with the kids of Luke as well as Han and Leia. Because I know Leia became a Jedi as well which would be cool to see.

As far as this new group, I dunno but from the trailers the story looks kind of boring now. Also, I cNt remember the name of the new black lead but I did enjoy his performance in Attack the Block. But something just doesn't fit with him being a Jedi master.

Besides, I thought all clones were from Jenga Fett, and he is Samoan looking lol.

I'm sorry but I hope PC doesn't ruin Star Wars, even though the most recent trilogy brought it to the brink of stupidity. God I can't believe the whiney little (*)(*)(*)(*) ant that Anakin turned out to be, I'm glad he became Darth Vader lol.

She would be one old girl who ages very well if she was a daughter of Vader. This new story takes place 30 years after the events of return of the Jedi. No way she is a daughter of Vader.

Perhaps Rey is related to Luke Skywalker in one way or another and she's most likely to be his daughter rather than sister and the storyline is set a generation after Luke. This source confirms her family connection to Luke Skywalker and Rey will awaken with the Force as Luke did in the past, which is the title of the new film (Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

Leave it to a poor oppressed white guy to feel besieged by wookies and droids.

Why would JJ Abrams have a hostile reaction to being the "whitest (*)(*)(*)(*)ing room in the history of time"? What is his problem with whites?

If you actually look at the entire transcript of that podcast instead of just pulling out lines that fit your agenda, you can see that it's not about having a problem with whites but that he wants to see a more diverse representation. He even states immediately after that your cute little meme's quote that, "And I just thought, we’re casting this show and we have an opportunity to do anything we want, why not cast the show with actors of color? Like not for sure, and if we can’t find the actors who are great, we shouldn’t..." So, he'd like to see a greater diversity of star actors, but he's not willing to sacrifice quality in order to get it. He'd rather have a great show with great white actors than a bad show with bad black actors. That's hardly indicative of a problem with whites.

The problem with you is that you know so much that isn't true. Stop basing your politics off of memes.

Clearly he has a problem with too many white people being involved in the project and has to correct this imbalance. I'd say he's in line with other Jews who have expressed similar concerns about whites, such as Susan Sontag and Noel Ignatiev.

That's pretty much what I just said, just without the spin to make it sound as negative as you possibly can, but even having a problem with too many whites, as you put it, does not constitute a general problem with whites.

It was too many whites at the Emmy's, by the way, not too many whites on some project. You really have no understanding of the context of his comment, do you?

I think I do, which I've already elaborated on, but it's not the same context that you would agree with.

Yours is the wrong context, but you know that already.

I wouldn't believe it's the right context if I thought it was the wrong context. That wouldn't make sense.

I read an article, I don't remember where it was in which it was pointed out that Darth Vader was the father of two white children...

    Haha..

Mark Hammel is either black or half black or the racism (*)(*)(*)(*) goes down the tubes...
