In an essay for the "Hollywood Reporter" Feminist Camille Paglia called Taylor Swift a "twinkly persona" and "scary flashback to the fascist blondes who ruled the social scene during my youth" . In addition it is reported that Paglia had described Swift as an "exhibitionist Nazi Barbie".
I'm not a Taylor Swift fan. As a German however I know very well how annoying and boring it is, not to be able to discuss or do anything without someone unpacking what we call "Nazi Club" or "Nazi Mace".
Because that was always so common I made "history" one of my favorite hobbies and always can be of assistance if somebody has gaps in memory or has selective memory, like it is the case in the Paglia case.
She was born in 1947 and grew up in "Little Italy" in New York. No wonder, fascists made her first impression and memories of her "social scene". The term "Fascist" is derived from Mussolini's "Partito Fascista Repubblicano", the "Republican Fascist Party" (of Italy), which used the old Roman sign of power "Fascis" (a bundle of rods with an axe in it) as their party logo.
Those Italians however were not "blondes". The blondes were the Nazis. ("Nazi" is the German pronounciation of the first part of the word "National" for "Nationalsozialistische Partei Deutschlands" NSDAP). Italians normally have black hair.
And that is the reason why Camille Paglia might have been victim of "selective memory". Her "social environment" after WWII contained, if not having been ruled by, black haired Italian fascists. This way she has more fascism in her blood and mind than Taylor Swift, whose only crime is being blonde. Psychologists call that "Projection". That is very common in people unpacking the "Nazi Mace". Always worth to have a closer look.

In my opinion, I think Camille Paglia is jealous of Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift an exhibitionist? Compared to what, a nun? Obviously, Camille Paglia has never watched a Nicki Minaj, Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna or Miley Cyrus music video. Not that I have anything against any of those people, I'm just saying...

Seems to me this has nothing to do with Taylor Swift, you just don't like Camille Paglia, for whatever reasons there may be.

I consider the modern "special interest" incarnation of feminism a Marxist hate group - similar to white nationalism.

Basically what remains of "feminism" is just the fringe of the fringe who were too radical for their ideas to enter mainstream politics; many if not most of modern feminist are just unattractive, jealous, narcissistic women who are jealous of attractive women, and essentially want "redistribution of attractiveness" - basically they're female equivalents of "Elliot Rogers" and "Marc Lepine"

This is why the movement is dying and eventually will be considered in the same sanity bandwagon as Christian fundamentalists.

The rule of the Nazi Barbies was fine, especially compared to the prison culture of the commie dryhumpers who currently rule our schools.

I just can't see a connection between girl squads and fascism.

Paglia is a second-wave, modernist feminist who is a bit out of touch.

    What the hell lol

So what is Taylor supposed to do dye her hair so that she isn't tall white and blonde anymore lol?

Plus she is far from exhibitionist she's probably one of the most strict female pop stars when it comes to that sort of thing. She had a brigade of people who run around the internet deleting fake nude pictures of her and stuff. And while she does sometimes dress sort of "sexy" she is nowhere near the level of other pop stars who run around half naked.

Yes, whatever reason could there possibly be? Maybe it's that some people don't like ugly feminists?

A bit out of touch? she is a bit crazy...

Why the hell does she even care what other people do?

Especially when feminists think it's "girl power" to walk around without their tops on and call that feminism while they scream at random men and harass them for no damn reason..

I'm not into pop music but if there were ever a good example of a "clean" pop star it would be Taylor Swift.

    Feminism is nonsense anyway...
