Just seems to me majority who are democrats are against the US constitution. Why is that? All I ever read nowadays is them wanting to ban the 2nd amendment, attack who ever speaks against their ideals. It's almost their very existence is to trample our given rights and our republic. Not just democrats but republicans as well.

So if you're against our constitutional republic, why not just leave? If not then accept the fact we have individual rights, just because you believe in something different shouldn't impose on other people's rights or beliefs as well.

They have a warped perspective of the World as it is & and how they think it should be. They 'feel' that if only they had supreme power that they could solve all the issues perplexing mankind since we left the trees. Emotion matters more to them than logic & sound reasoning with history merely being a pack of lies to them. Most can barely manage their own lives, let alone those of others. They think legislation, mandates, regulations & other official edicts can resolve all social ills and usher in blissful harmony while failing to notice that even Jesus didn't do that in his first visit.

No one is wanting to ban the 2nd amendment, however, most liberals do wants some control on the sale of firearms whether it be which ammunition is available to the public, type of firearms that are used for defense, universal background checks, etc. These measures do not ban all firearms and the Constitutional Republic was guaranteed when the Heller case was decided. That is the beauty of the Constitutional Republic where three branches are mutually exclusive to one another under the checks and balances.

Meanwhile, you had a Republican governor get rid of a nonpartisan commission on elections and replaced it with a totally partisan commission, two actually, on elections in the state of Wisconsin, You had a GOP Presidential candidate who argued that Presidents can ignore the Supreme Court, a violation of that Constitutional Republic you seem to think only Democrats are afraid of. Then you have a GOP candidate who wants to gerrymander the Supreme Court so that only their political agenda would be enforced through the term limits on Supreme Court justices.

That is funny considering that social conservatives want the federal government, not to mention state and local government, in the bedroom on who you sleep with, how you sleep with, when you sleep with, which sexual position is appropriate, etc.

Maybe you should diversify your reading.

Right wing websites, survivalist websites, and NRA broadsides are not reliable or very accurate sources of information.

There are many people who do not like our President, so, perhaps they should leave.

We don't care who you sleep with, just don't try to marry the same sex & call it 'marriage' when it's not.

Obama said he hated the Constitution because it limited the power of the federal government over the American people.

    It's a common liberal complaint.

The Constitution prevents many aspects of the benevolent socialist dictatorship they would want to install. That's why they despise the Constitution. They'll still use it as a weapon to get what they want and advance their agenda, though. Whenever it conforms with their narrative and goals, they become the biggest fans of the Constitution. It's kind of funny to watch.

But they loves them some socialist dictatorships,

The Constitution is about limits on government and the let is about unlimited government, with them being that government.

Since Texas will not come clean on this I will tell you:

It was the same day BO admitted that he was a Muslim, Communist, born in Kenya, and hated apple pie, baseball, and Chevrolet, and that he cheated on his wife with a homosexual lover that he keeps locked up the basement of the WH, and he promised that he has stopped beating his wife, and that never did graduate from law school and that was KKK member with an NRA lifetime membership

We aren't against the Constitution, just the illiterate interpretation of it by many on the right.

Sorry but you really ought to understand that
    A. The second amendment is not the entire Constitution (although it's all that gun nuts care about)

    B. The Amendment you speak of refers to a "well regulated militia" and the necessity of that militia. That necessity arose because at the time we had a very small standing Army. That's not the case now is it?

This thread is blind, ignorant partisanship at its finest. This thread is the result of fox news and right wing hate radio. The purpose of both is to scare people into believing they are under attack. Disagreement with your position does not mean being against the US constitution.

Interpretation of the constitution has been a source of contention for the entire life of our republic. Ask yourself, if the constitution was perfect, why would we have any amendments? In fact, if the founding fathers were so sure they were right about everything, would they even have put in amendments as a vehicle for change of their original document? People need to get over this idea that a group of slave owning white dudes in the 18th century had everything figured out for a perfect utopia.

The biggest threat to America, in my opinion, are threads like these. The terrible sentiment that since you disagree with me, you are a treasonous, vile individual who wants to usurp the republic is our biggest issue. What happened to just thinking someone was wrong?

You might want to send that memo to the social conservatives who are trying to even make sex a criminal act between two consenting adults.

In a 2001 radio interview on WBEZ (Chicago), he said the Constitution and Supreme Court have delivered on equal political rights, but both are still a failure for not stating it is the duty of the federal government to redistribute wealth. He was frustrated that the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution negatively ... limiting what the government could do. He wanted a Constitution that positively said it was right and duty of the federal government to redistribute income. He's disillusioned that he can't unilaterally do more under the Constitution. He hates small government republicanism. He wants a monarchy.

    Google it.

You really oughta ask ex-Chief Justice Warren Burger who it was who de-nutted the 2A and now pretend they want to keep it now that it's meaningless. Btw, Burger was about as conservative as they come. And, btw, it wasn't Democrats who pissed on the 2A. So you might ask, why are Republicans against the US Constitution? Why don't you just leave? Try that new caliphate. No gun control there, by golly.

Obama is simply a product of his radical leftist training. He despises anything to do with traditional (Norman Rockwell) America.

No you dont like original intent and want to breath new life into what you consider a living document.

The only reason he studied the constitution was to find ways around it.

This is what the OP is talking about. You say one thing, but immediately say the exact opposite. It is only intellectual dishonesty on display here.

Why don't you want a constitutional government?

He said it's a failure. He said it sucks.

I expect a president that likes the Constitution. That's not asking for too much.

How about you? Do you like the Constitution? Or do you think it's a failure? Do you hate the way it was written?

I have the same to ask all the conservative candidates that want so badly to infringe on our privacy and basic human rights. When Rand Paul brought up the fact that many of their proposals were going against the bill of rights he was criticized. The only right conservatives care about is muh guns. The amount of times Republicans defended the constitution while going against it in the debates was hilariously ironic.
