A bigger than expected win for both Sanders and Trump. This will bode well for them moving forward. That said, Sanders still faces a huge obstacle in SC. There are no obstacles on Trump's horizon though.

 

Trump wins every demographic in NH. There could be 20,000 precincts left and it wouldn't matter.

 

I find him way too liberal, but you're right, he needs to enjoy the number 2 spot, because it ends in South Carolina.

Time for me to get back on the Trump Bandwagon, since Ted Cruz did what Ted Cruz does: He damages the Republican Party, all for the sake of his own ego. I'm not voting for a Democrat, and I'm not voting for a Democrat who calls themselves a Republican(Kasich). Trump at least, will put a border up there. It's four years of Trump, how bad could that possibly be?

Once the final results are tallied he'll be calling for a recount. With 50,000 votes separating them it'll be too close to accept defeat.

 

Bad day for the establishment and the war party. But Kasich is the least crazy Republican and could emerge as an establishment alternative to Trump.

 

No doubt, that is one of the reasons. But on the GOP side, we are very unhappy with the GOP folks we elevated these last few years, primarily Boehner and McConnell. Didn't do enough to stop Obama. We are angry, and want change. Lots of it.

But are Dems that upset with Obama ? Or just see Hillary as being so flawed ?

Don't get me wrong. I respect Bernie. My own feelings on healthcare are a hybrid of he and Trump. Basic coverage for all via a government sponsored health savings account, where you retain 75% of what you do not spend annually, and can be paid such as part of your tax return refund, or can accrue unused parts and pass it on at 100%, etc. It needs to be basic, such that folks can then purchase more gold-plated coverage privately above such, if they choose.

I would be very happy with a Trump - Sanders election. Not that I like Sanders, but I despise Hillary, and believe she should be in jail.

 

Vote him into office and you'll find out rather quickly.

 

I don't see the establishment rallying behind him, but he's the toughest to beat in the General. He has the record, experience, no Bush name, and comes across as a really genuine good guy which contrasts Hillary's very unlikable persona.

 

Kasich is history in South Carolina.

we are mostly upset with Congress, Obama has done fine, he just did not have the congress he needed

I don't agree very often with Dr. Savage, but there are some things I do agree with him on (he's a political radio show host), but his essay, "Blood in the Waterragmatists vs. Purists" made some good points. I don't believe Cruz can beat Hillary, I believe Trump can. I'm liberal on some issues, conservative on others, so I guess I'm a "swing voter" - on the issues I'm liberal on, I like Hillary, on the ones I'm conservative on, I like Trump, and yes, I know he's "secretly a liberal on social issues" - well, I hope that's true. Anyway, back to what Dr. Savage said, I really agree - a vote for Cruz is a vote for Hillary, so a friendly bit of advice to those conservatives who don't really like Trump, but really don't like Hillary - if you give Cruz the nomination, you have handed the presidency to Hillary. Cruz is too far right for me anyway(and Sanders is too far left). Just one man's opinion.

 

Like I said, I do not have that perspective. So I appreciate the opportunity for partisan exchanges without being partisan ....

Many would say that Bernie is still the underdog against Hillary. I am not leaning that way, and not because I do not like Hillary. I think he can beat her. I see him with momentum, and able to sustain it, and she steadily losing it.

 

Just heard on CNN that Christie has canceled his events in South Carolina and they're going to "take a breath" in NJ.

 

Defeat what? I don't care about Kasich or NH. It's just hilarious everyone os calling winners early.

They not only called them early, but they were spot on. They do this based on extensive exit polling. Had it been more close, they would have deferred a bit. But they nailed it, and quite frankly, it was not hard to do.

 

And Nevada, and ST outside maybe VA?

 

All that said, Bernie is wiping the floor with Hillary. A good 6-8 points ahead of the polling data. She isn't just losing. She is getting her ass kicked. Recent polls have indicated that she is almost in a free fall. May she not bottom-out for some time !!
