Impressive. There is that sticktoitiveness that has made Carson such a fascinating figure to watch.

After less than impressive shows in Iowa and new Hampshire, especially New Hampshire where he finished in the same area as Rand Paul who dropped out of the race, it appears that Carson is willing to talk about be number 2 to Trump's number 1.

Not that Trump would necessarily consider the former knife fighter turned incredibly boring and slightly disjointed brain surgeon. I would think Trump woudl want someone as bombastic as himself to continue with his parody of a campaign.

Perhaps Carson is giving himself another excuse to drop out of the race.

In an interview with Fox Business on Tuesday, the former pediatric neurosurgeon said he would consider being Donald Trump’s running mate if the billionaire captures the Republican presidential nomination.

“I certainly would sit down and discuss it with him,” Carson said.

Carson explained to Fox Business that if he were to be a VP, he would need to be philosophically aligned with the nominee.

“I would have to have major philosophical alignment with whoever it was. I would have to have guarantees that I could do some substantial things,” he said.

He wouldn’t say, however, who he wouldn’t be vice president for.

“Rather than get into that, let’s say as long as there is significant philosophical alignment, I wouldn’t have any problem,” Carson told Fox Business.

He added, “I’m aiming to really change this country, in the same way that I came up with new ways to do very complex things that people have been trying to do for a long, long period of time. That’s what I want to do with this country.”

Carson’s campaign took a hit over recent months after attention started to be turned to terrorism and foreign polic

it must have been that awkward moment they shared during the debate intro that made him think there was a connection, or the harsh fact that his run is up and he's out the door

It was a very diplomatic and conditional response. He left himself a lot of room to say no. The fact is he's not philosophically aligned with Trump. He's a walk-the-walk Christian and Trump is a phony. Two Corinthians, lol.

He's in New Hampshire, not South Carolina.

Did I miss the quote, or did you deliberately mislead with that thread title?

    This looks like a quote:

I think Carson would make a good VP, or Secretary of state.Even better UN Ambassador. The man is smart and honest. That's rare in Washington.

Doesn't it look like a quote to me. Looks like an editor's title paraphrasing or summarizing a thought.

Sorry, Is 4th good? Like saying I was the fourth guy to have sex with that person tonight, or I came in fourth out of four?

Okay. It is the article title, so I think your most recent statement is incorrect.

I don't think it matters where Carson ended up in that vote. What kind of man is he? He is smart and honest and he seems to know a lot in foreign and domestic affairs. He needs to fit in the government someplace. I don't care if it's VP, Secretary of state or UN Ambassador. He'd make America proud.

A cursory glance at the results reveals Carson finished 8th with a grand total of 2.3% of the vote, edging out a guy not even running anymore, Rand Paul, who got .7% and finished 9th. Now I am pretty sure on a percentage basis 2.3 and .7 are in the same neck of eh woods.

Libs seem to forget he picked SC over nh months in advance. NH is left leaning, its why Kasich and Trump and Bernie won badly. No point trying to out spend Rubio,Jeb, and Crispy if he cant get top 2. SC he has the BC and more right wing demographics.

What I find hilarious is your trying to attack a guy for NH who said he was aiming for SC months in advance out of desperation.

I would like Carson to be VP just so I could watch the two of them try to walk into a room or on stage at the same time.

Worlds' longest joint press conferences, as neither would make it through the door.

Maybe that is what they were talking about at the debate while standing in the hall.

I don't think Trump would be stupid enough to choose Carson to be his VP.

Secretary of State???? Are you kidding. Far be it for me to be rude, but the man is an idiot savant who is NOT qualified for much but giving lobotomies to children. However, UN Ambassador would be right up his alley.

    - - - Updated - - -

Alucard, what got in to you? You suggest Carson is an idiot? Shameful.

i used to think so particualry since trump needs the evangelicals and the black vote and i think that was the initial plan too but really after seeing carson in the debates... no ;/ i dont think any other debater has disapointed me more than him.

He would get the experience he needs in V P slot and would be a good mellowing influence on Trump and might even get some black votes
