Its interesting but I dont know about webb. I still like cruz for VP but its not going to happen. kasic might work out well. Trump said he wanted a politician for VP and kasic might fit in there nicely. There are a lot of politicians out there to choose from though. Huckabee is a great guy. Rick Perry would be a hoot as VP.

I want rubio for press secretary LOL.

I think Rubio will have a spot though. He is unemployed if he doesnt win. Rubio is trying to get out of the senate.

Not sure about Webb though. It would be nice to see democrats get out of this communist stage and come back to being a pro american party. As it stands right now they are an absolute disaster.

it has to be someone good though thats why I dont think it will be Rubio. trump isnt going to take someone just because of politics. They will have to have shown competence and ability. The more I think about it....out of the on stage candidates Kasic is the only one in the hunt....then again he is still in the race.

Kasich is gentlemanly, and he is experienced. I think Cruz is too damaged at this point. He has painted himself as a sort of a slick politician on the conservative right, and I think his presence on the ticket would galvanize the Dems to stick together. That's why I kinda like my crazy idea.

    But with Trump, who knows???

Trump can do some unorthodox things but I don't see him picking a democrat for VP. heck I may not even vote for him then. Democrats have a long way to go before that kind of trust comes back. I dont really want him to bring the two parties together unless its an absolute necessity. They have a lot of commies in there. Besides....you know you cannot trust anyone in that party. its bad enough in the RNC.

My Governor would be good but I want him right where he is.

    Newt maybe?

I hope he uses Cruz for something big. I really dont want to see Ted go by the wayside. We need him.

That's good. His 5 or 6% support nationally will be probably divided up between Cruz and Rubio. I suspect Rubio getting the bigger chunk. He wasn't going anywhere, perhaps Carson should drop out also.

A republican presidency is not going to be found out there on the right with Cruz anymore than a democrat presidency is going to be found in the electorate left of Sanders. Those people's votes are a given. The path to the presidency will be found in the middle pulling moderates one way or the other. What Seth Bullock is illustrating is that Trump has serious deficits that must be addressed with regard to foreign policy, the military, and actual governance, (among many many others). This is not that different a proposition than Obama's choice of Biden.

Trump's nomination looks like a given. When will he actually talk about anything he intends to do and how? People apparently want something different SO badly that they don't even care about ANY of the details, history, or means.

He ran out of money, and the GOP is leaderless.

Trump has serious deficts with every facet of the Presidency except his ability to run a television campaign.

The day after the GOP convention, he will offer himself for sale to the highest bidder.

I asked that same question rhetorically earlier today.

The Republican National Committee has lost control of their own party. The nominating process is now running on auto pilot.

Frankly, I would like nothing better than to read that a conclave of billionaires is meeting in secret right now to put things right in the GOP.

But, at this point, I don't think that's going to happen.

I think the Paul Singers, and the Kochs of the world are going to sit this one out, and keep their checkbooks in their pockets.

That will put Trump in an interesting situation. He has defied odds by running a shoestring campaign with a little bit of his own money.

If he becomes the GOP nominee, now a frightening probability, he will offer himself up for sale to every Wall Street banker, oil man, and secretive private billionaire he can find. The man is a total whore.

They won't sign up. They know who this guy is, and they know better than to trust him.

    In tatters!!!!!!

After the Iowa Caucus, Cruz stumbled, even though he won there.

Trump was able to use the "Voter Violation" trick to highlight exactly what voter's reservations were about Cruz. He is a sleazy televangelist type.

The irony here is that Trump is every bit as sleazy, and far less principled.

The other irony is that that Cruz only sent out 3000 of these things, but still won by 4000 votes.

Finally, there is the fact that these sorts of last minute dirty tricks are part of campaigning. Bush won South Carolina in 2000 by running robocalls charging that John McCain had a "black love child"/

Even though that dirty trick was widely reported, it didn't hurt the man who ran on it.

Cruz is not going to recover from this. Trump altered the narrative, and I doubt that Cruz's very sophisticated voter machine, nor his large base of volunteers is going to put it back where he wants it.

I generally agree with that. This election is about winning the middle, not the far right or left.

Just because the presidential race is out of reach, don't think for a second the Koch's and company will go quietly into the good night. Look for a huge money push in the down ticket races and ballot initiatives. The difficulty for the oligarchs is the coat tails of the Presidential race. If a Trump or Cruz is on the ticket GOP voters could stay home in droves. Because if that risk, look for the Big Money to show up in the Rubio camp not because they think he can win, but at least won't suppress Republican turnout.

Oh, I didn't say anything about Chuck and Dave going quietly into the night. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't funnel some money into the Clinton campaign!

I keep mentioning Bush because he was obviously the worst president in US history. you need to come to grips with that.

Did you fall and bump your head? Bush wasn't great, but he wasn't anywhere near the worst. During his administration, the dems pushed regulations that caused the mortgage meltdown and the depression Obama locked in for seven years.

    Worst: Obama
    Second: Johnson (great society scam)
    Third: Carter
    Fourth: Clinton
    Fifth: Wilson (progressivism Marxist)
    Sixth: FDR (socialism)

Yes, Clinton. He seemed to have a good "reign", but it was scandal plagued, he gave us "motor voter" opening the flood gated of voter fraud, gave us NAFTA (thanks for giving our jobs away, bubba), and the good times were from Reagan's leftovers and the dot com bubble.

    Please, katz, stop spreading lies.

    B. Hussein Obama is easily the worst president in our history! He has accomplished nothing that is positive and important in over seven years!

He has only accumulated record national debt, caused greater racial divide, weakened our military, and caused our country and the world to be unsafe places for Americans.

Bush was not perfect, but he was far superior to the idiot Obama! Your opinion is a joke, but I'm not laughing.
