And so we bid farewll to Doc Stabbage, King of the Pyramid Grain Silos.

Now, he goes off to wherever the Republican Party sends the African-American "Look! Look! We're diverse!" show candidates and like Herman Cain and Alan Keyes....

Fox News stops returning his calls.

He hasn't actually come forth saying he is suspending his campaign (even though we all know it's a matter of time now)

Armstrong Williams wants to make sure he gets those final "miscellaneous expenditure" checks to clear from the Campaign Fund.

The whole Carson candidacy was a fraud.....to make money and to falsely act like the Republican Party would EVER nominate a black man for President or even Vice-President.

Carson was very likable, but a politician he was not. One has to wonder if he didn't run just to sell more of his books. It was good experience any how one looks at it.

Carson's motivations can be debated....was it for the money? or was he gullible enough to ACTUALLY believe that the Republican Party (who now is run by Trump) would actually nominate a black man for President?

Gee, what would make Carson think that?

The fact that Herman Cain was leading the GOP field during the last presidential campaign before allegations of sexual misconduct scuttled his campaign?

Do I hate Hillary Clinton for calling bull(*)(*)(*)(*) on that, too?

I predict Dr. Carson is going to have his own show on Fox, possibly replacing Greta in the time slot that she is in. Greta would move back to her previous spot on Fox.

You did not say or imply anything racist at all. There will not be another Black person nominated for POTUS from either political party for a long time to come. There are too many people still reeling from the fact that Obama a Black man was elected. Also groups such as BLM and the reconstituted Black Panthers have created a backlash situation that even people who were not racists or were on the fence have been turned to be anti- Black as far a Black POTUS is concerned.

Cain and Carson both took the lead nationally among Republicans for a brief spell. But that was when ideology mattered. Trump supporters do not gave a darn about his ideology or his political views. All they care about is he is a fighter.

Oh, that talking point again. So the only reason Carson couldn't win the nomination was because he was black. And, of course, you still have no explanation why he and Herman Cain were able to lead their white competitors at certain points during their respective campaigns.

    Liberal logic 101 :

Trump isnt experienced , republicans support him because they stupid.

Ben Carson isnt experienced , but republicans not supporting him show they are racist.

Good stuff liberals , keep it flowing.

So you blame the Republicans for your bitter hatred of Dr. Carson, Herman Cain and Alan Keyes?? It is always the liberal media that undermine the Black Republicans, as you very well know..

Perhaps if the dems had ever had a Black candidate that wasn't a poverty pimp you would have some credibility.

That's one of the benefits of progressivism. It doesn't require consistency or integrity. It's free to contradict itself over and over again as it seeks out political advantages wherever they may be found.

    Ben Carson out?

Note, this is the man that said if he did not finish in the top 3 in 2 of the first 4 primaries he was out. Then he said that he was in until the convention. Then he said something weird bout how some god was going to help him.

Now, it appears he is at the end.

Indeed, the former knife fighter has once again changed his mind, disappointing cynics who do not like him all around the country, and his 3 supporters.

Also, his manger's email to supporters accuses them of crying, which seems weird.

But at along last, long, long last, the fellow who was once touted as so awesome, being black and a brain surgeon, super capable of saving this country, is now heading a campaign running on fumes.

Godspeed Ben, and please stick around a bit longer so I can get more material.

Ben Carson doesn't "see a political path forward" in the Republican presidential nomination process, and will not attend Thursday's GOP presidential debate in his hometown of Detroit, he said in a statement.

But Carson stopped short of saying he was officially leaving the race.

The retired neurosurgeon and his aides reached the decision after a staff meeting Wednesday morning in Baltimore following a disappointing finish on Super Tuesday.

In an email to supporters, campaign chairman Bob Dees said the "political efforts must come to a close."

"We have often said that 'reality is our friend.' The reality is that we together have been on an amazing journey -- the right candidate for the right cause for the right reasons at the right time," Dees wrote.

"No doubt many of you have tears as you read this, just as I tearfully write these words -- tearfully because the reality is that our political efforts must come to a close," he added. "Gratefully, the grass roots movement that has given new voice to 'We the People' and has inspired millions will continue."

Carson said he will go into more detail during an appearance at the Conservative Political Action Committee Conference near Washington on Friday.

It appears to end what once seemed like a promising campaign for the first-time political candidate. He was the first GOP candidate to overtake Donald Trump in the polls for a period of several weeks around October. But as fall turned to winter, Carson consistently lost ground to Trump and later Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.

Armstrong Williams, Carson's business adviser, said it is clear that Trump has things wrapped up.

"Everyone needs to come to the realization that Donald Trump will be the nominee when it's all said and done," Williams said in an interview. "And that's the reality. I know they're saying they have the best chance of toppling Trump, but let's admit it, they have no pathway either. And every event, let's admit it, Trump has done well. ... Since Iowa, he has been steamrolling."

Williams also insisted Carson will back the GOP primary winner. "Dr. Carson will support the eventual nominee," he sai

He'd be terrible on TV. Could anybody actually imagine watching a show hosted by Ben Carson? How could anybody stay awake for that?

Keep Carson FAR away from any political position. If anyone was less qualified than Trump, it was Carson. How did he last as long as he did?

Of course I would never have voted for him … and his bit about the ancient pyramids being constructed to store grain was, well … odd to say the least …

At that, he came across as a very sincere nice person … I only wish him well in the future ...
