Of course you don't see anything moderate about me because your world view is apparently skewed far from the middle. You appear oblivious to multi sided, complex views but I have to think it by choice because I do not consider you an uneducated fool. Far from it, when you choose you have a history of well thought analysis. I am at a loss of why you would choose to deny the obvious in a semantics argument.

I have offered a rationale of why I consider Trump a fascist. I did not cherry pick his public stances nor have I tailored the definition. The characteristics and traits of fascism come from historians and scholars that study the writings and speeches of Benito Mussolini. I do see a resemblance between Il Duce and Trump. They both appear as overly ambitious, self serving, and use the darkest side of populism to further their personal goals. The tactics, if not copied, are certainly reflective and appear at some level, just as effective. The perceived problems of post WWI Italy and America emerging from a historic recession appear to align. The populist policies advocated not only reflect the tone, but the same actions and solutions as well. To my ear, both rhetoric is just as lacking of any real detailed substance that might differentiate the two.

Oh, and since you brought it up, I do not see much in Trump that reminds me of Hitler. While the same desire for complete personal control is perhaps shared, the pain and hatred that fueled Hitler is nowhere in Trump's public back story. There is not a deep seeded resentment of externally imposed policy from a lost war that gave rise to the Nazi movement. The comparison simply doesn't stand up.

You need to seperate your moral judgement on Axis powers from from a modern political definition and analysis. I am not predicting actions but noting rhetorical and policy similarities between a current candidate and a well known, well documented, and quite successful political movement. I have repeatedly asked you for an alternative description but you seem more inclined to attack what you believe to be my motives rather than engage in a useful exchange. The invitation remains open.

OK so not Hitler, merely Mussolini? Oh well then!

I could give you a description of Trump's politics: He's a moderate Republican. A RINO as it were. He's running on a platform that's about 90% identical to what Romney ran on in 2012. Was Romney a fascist too?

You've really tried to dress up a petty stupid insult as deep analysis. I get it. You wanted to name call and didn't think you would get called on it for saying something that's frankly pretty stupid.OK mission accomplished, Godwin missile launched and received.

Translated: "I feel such a powerful urge to tell some people that I disagree with their core identity that I'll tactlessly do it in sensitive situations and I blame you for any consequences I face".

I don't even care what you think of trans people. Just have basic tact and politeness in public and stop complaining when you face the consequences if you don't.

Translated: "I understand that the wealthiest people in society are amoral and will only hire those that they can treat the worst, but instead of encouraging workers all over the world to unionize and resist I'm just going to allow myself to be degraded."

Translated: "I assume that cops are always right, as long as the guy they murder is black."

Translated: "I desperately fear people who look like me not being the center of the universe."

Translated: "It makes me angry that I don't get to control how other people dress."

Translated: "I don't care about human beings that I don't share an arbitrary imaginary boundary with."

Translated: "I'm going to pretend to be a moderate so that I automatically look like I put thought into my positions."

    You're far right.

Translated: "People doing things that they did in the past is more important than the basic human rights of foreigners."

All trump does is yell about how he's going to make America great again. He has no real principles or ideology. He's an empty cliched person for an empty cliched time that people support because they want easy feel-good solutions that make them feel like they're experts and require no expenditure of effort.

No war is going to happen. A bunch of people are going to run around shrieking over a fake change and then people will act like they actually expect things to be different for a few months and then everything will go back to the way it was before.

Your core values are based around making life worse for everybody else in order to avoid the discomfort of things being different.

Truth is that he has a lot of democrats and independents strongly in favor of him. In short, he's the ideal candidate who gets votes from all sides.
