LOL, only the time from the 1950's is considered important for CO2 according to the IPCC. Anything before that is just plain normal and anything after 1950 is questionable.

Oil companies love the green blob political movement as they stand to benefit from government giving them your tax dollars.

Yes, but did you finish high school. You are evidently not very aware of things.

    - - - Updated - - -

An article on Weather, another activist site, is not a summary of anything, nor is it the report, but then, people like you don't read those things, much less understand them.

That event was Catastrophic and if I can remember it was because of massive releases of CO2 and Volcanic activity.

    So sure....it could happen again.

But what is currently happening would result in a much slower Ice Age development than that event but it would still be much faster than the natural Ice Age events usually occur due to Earth's wobble.

There is no chance that what is happening now could lead to an early Ice Age. Thermohaline circulation, as the name implies, doesn't add or remove heat from the system. It simply moves it from one part of the globe to another. The global mean continues to rise and while this may delay the next ice age by a few thousand years, it certainly won't accelerate it.

So then explain the same rate of temperature rise before that.

8,000 years? the industrial revolution petty much started 170 years ago, we didn't start documenting weather/climate until at minimum 1880 or so... Lets also not forget that many nations didn't become industrial well into the early 20th century as the result of WWI, and even today the majority of the world is far removed from industry...

My point is there is no real way to even conclude what/if man has any carbon footprint that amounts to much... Carbon only accounts for .0040 of the atmosphere - that is NOT a whole lot - that would be like a few grains of salt from a table spoon..

Besides if climate change is heating the Earth that would be good regardless, places that never had the weather for crops are now starting to become fertile...

Also, even if the AGW warriors think this is a crisis - it in reality would be far from one, for several reasons, one of which is that melting ice doesn't make the ocean rise (do it yourself , get a cup of water, put a cube in the cup and measure the water , when the cube is melted the the water level rise? nope did it. Secondly, when the climate changes - it doesn't happen overnight - it takes millennia to occur...

This AGW stuff is nonsense, they have no evidence - just rhetorical scare tactics, that promote an agenda within the government and science itself...

One wonders if even a couple of degrees will be bad. One wonders how these people survive going from Winter to Summer.

I survive going to winter to summer every year...

Also, volcanoes are way more dangerous than "climate change" - even small volcanic eruptions can screw with the environment for several years.

Sure the Earth may get warmer, but there is another side that have reliable evidence to suggest the Earth may get cooler, one thing is certain, we have had many ice ages and we are presently at the near end of the last one and no doubt there will be another one..... There has only been one "fireworld Earth" and that was 4 billion years ago.

We are in a 2.5 million year ice age now, interspersed with short mild interglacials. The alarmists want you to believe all that will change due to your SUV.

BTW, another bigger danger are comets or meteors.

Except they are not really the same.

While most of the warming trend before 1950 can be explained by the increase in TSI shown in Wang, Lean, and Sheeley (2005), there is no corresponding TSI increase since 1970 to explain the current warming rate.

Define "removed". Over two thirds of the world's population lives in Asia, Europe and North America, the three most industrialized continents.

So you dispute the Greenhouse Effect too?

    Such as?

Except most of the ice is on land in Antarctica and Greenland, which will make the oceans rise when they melt. The problem with melting sea ice is that it decreases Earth's albedo causing more heat to be trapped at the surface.

Remind me again what Svante Arrhenius' agenda was?

1860 to 1880: 0.1 °C per decade warming trend for two decades followed by similar cooling trend for three decades equals natural variability.

1910 to 1940: 0.15 °C per decade warming trend due to natural variability, plus increasing TSI, plus increasing CO2.

1975 to today: 0.19 °C per decade warming trend due to natural variability, plus a lot more CO2. TSI has been decreasing so just imagine how much warmer it would be otherwise.

TSI is only one measurement of solar activity. There is a delay between decrease and cooling of 10 to 15 years which could be caused by the other factors. That is why some scientists are predicting coming cooling.

Also, can you state the uncertainty ranges for what you posted?

Do you have a reference for your bogus statements that "some scientists are predicting coming cooling". So we can see who is doing the predicting and exactly what their stance on CC is. You have a habit of taking statements out of contacts from sources that otherwise, completely agree with CC. Remember one thing, everything you say about dissing climate change is in disagreement with the best ideas by the best people of the status of the earth that have ever existed.
If you claimed to be God, you would have more credibility.
So where is this reference ?

It is the only one that measures the amount of energy Earth receives from the sun.

TSI has been decreasing for 20 years now. Let me know when the cooling starts.

Some scientists have been predicting this since the 1970's. Again, let me know when the cooling starts.

    Sorry, but I can't.

since you thought the article said 8,000 years it doesn't surprise me that you likewise tend to interpret scientific information with a similar degree of accuracy.

most likely he saw the cover of a time magazine from the early seventies. Somewhere on the net.

    - - - Updated - - -

So basically all the world's reputable scientists are really myth makers?

so basically what you are saying is that all the world's reputable scientists are really left wing politicians, and the world's peer reviewed scientific journals are left wing propaganda publications?

Not all of them. But enough. I guess you never saw that list of over thirty thousand scientists who disagree with man made global warming. No matter what you think, it's not settled science.

And just why do you think that they are trying to make it a crime to disagree with climate change?

I love the Oregon Petition (the thirty thousand "scientists" you refer to). Especially the Spice girls, characters from MASH and characters from Star Wars that were on it. Any can sign it and not single name is checked. I can claim to be the greatest climatologist in the world and sign it. It is hilarious.

If all the Polar and Greenland Fresh Water Glacier Ice melts....that would be far too much fresh water into the system and desalinization of Ocean Water would completely stall all existing Heat exchanging Ocean Water current systems.

If that happened....it would accelerate us into an Ice Age.

It would not happen overnight....but it would happen.
