Sure, it is a right to protest, but your rights end when you trample on someone elses .

I really don't have a problem with protesting, it is our right as americans to be able to voice our dissatisfaction. Protesting is not my problem, it's the method that some use to protest.

Yes you have a right not to be beaten for voicing your opinion, as long as you are doing it peacefully and you are not trampling on peoples rights or disturbing their daily lives.

Now with that said lets not act like lefties havent started fights or anything, because they very well have and have been caught physically provoking others or even hitting them. But in my point of view both sides need to calm down. The left needs to stop going overboard with certain methods of protest such as blocking roads, or purposely trying to shut down others first amendment rights , and righties need to relax and be more tolerant. And if there is an issue then let security handle the situation and not lay a hand on the protesters unless they first lay a hand on you.

Everyone needs to cool the (*)(*)(*)(*) off.

Nope. Because they do not stay peaceful. "Free speech" has nothing to do with it. They can have all they want, outside, in designated areas. That is how it works.

No I'm fanatical about one keeping his promises, like Teddy Kennedy's promise that the 1965 Immigration Act "will keep America as White as it is now".

Surely you remember that. Did you call the DEMs racist back then?

The continuing practice of the far left, is to prevent those with an opposing view from voicing or gathering. Only those who agree with them have the right to say so. The left are far more like Nazis than those they oppose.

I expected a moronic response, and I got it. While no one of any consequence condones the punch, and the 78 year old man that threw it was arrested, the stupid black punk makes my point. Disrupting others, then flipping everyone the bird. *******ism, when identified, isn't getting in.

He does? You were the one that said they don't stay peaceful. When did the black guy throw the punch. Shooting a bird or putting up a disruptive sign is still free speech.
Flipping the bird is still free speech. Disrupting others is when someone wacks you in the face violently for flicking that bird, not flicking the bird.

Stand on the side of the road if you want to protest. Don't block it! How can you defend such low lifes?

Hehehe! The pajama boys failed in Arizona today. Not only did they not shut down the rally they got Trump more free advertising! They should just donate to his campaign.

You probably did, but not from me.

I've been hoping that anti-Trump Republicans would divide and dilute their anti-Trump fervour amongst the plethora of opponents - as they have.

It has gone as I wished, but with neo-nazis and other white supremacists endorsing the reality-tv celebrity, I was concerned that he would be dumped too soon.

You can retreat into bygone days if you wish, of course, but why do you need to pretend that Ted Kennedy ever uttered such words?

There is also a difference between protesting and blocking the rights of others.

The trump supporters are not running around trying to block access to Clinton or Sanders rallies.

This pattern keeps coming from the left wing whenever they face dissent.

They act like nazis not content with tolerating others who they disagree with they have to try and silence others.

Where did I say that I support those guys blocking the road? I don't and I agree that they should stand by the side of the road to protest.

That still doesn't excuse the hypocrisy of the freedom lovers to reserve their own right to fight oppressive government, if necessary with arms, but then promote the government's iron fist when it is against people they don't like.

If they haven't yet, the left will somehow blame Trump for the protesters blocking the highway, the same way they blamed him for Chicago. Whatever the left does, it is Trump's fault.

Everyone of them should be arrested for reckless endangerment, which is a felony. Stopping traffic on a highway poises a real threat of a lethal accident.

    This is what you said:
"2) Isn't it funny how those that constantly rail against the oppressive power of the government immediately call for that same power to arrest some harmless protesters (note, these ones didn't have weapons, unlike the ones in Oregon), when the protesters don't fit their agenda?"

Explain to me how that is not defending them? Harmless my A$$!

The protesters in Oregon are in prison (or dead.) They hurt no one. The protesters endangering everyone by shutting down a highway? They are cheering themselves and free - not so much as a jaywalking ticket.

The people who occupied a government wildlife refuge, whom were heavily armed, also threatened the life of any law enforcement official that dare set foot on the premises during their protest.

Whose life did these people threaten? Where are their weapons?

By the way only one protester died and that was because he discharged his weapon towards a police officer when they raided the complex. Now if you're one of those people who stand behind our good men and women in blue then I do not know why you would choose the side of the Oregon protesters.

I did find it very ironic that hillary backed Trump protesters built a WALL to stop traffic......
