I also voted for Blue and am disgusted with Obama. I did not realize that "Hope and Change" was worship the Oligopoly-Bureaucracy Fusion Monster that runs this country towards a system of indentured slavery combined with trampling on individual liberty, the constitution and increase police powers towards totalitarianism.

Oh ... and don't forget making Russia look like the "Good Guys" by supporting and arming Strict Sharia Islamic Extremists (Al Qaeda, Al Nusra, Salafi, ISIS) to fight an illegal proxy war to bring the dark ages (Sharia Law) to one of the few Muslim countries (Syria) that were moving towards secularism (No Sharia, Christian Generals in the Army, Alcohol in bars, Women in short skirts and bathing suits, religious freedom .. and so on)

An action which created the largest humanitarian crisis of the decade, the current refugee crisis, and led to the empowerment and rise of ISIS.

Is this guy trying to give Cheney a run for his money ? Seriously .. giving stinger missiles to Al Qaeda ? Like those won't end up downing a few passenger airlines.

Imagine if some country was directly and/or indirectly arming and supporting Al Qaeda (or similar Wahhabi/Salafi extremists) with sophisticated technology and large quantities of other arms, in Canada, Britain, or here ?

We would be invading that country !

I do believe it is a serious oversimplification to the point of fallacy to say that government controlled medical system is the same thing as communism.

There are far more concepts to communism, and many of them far more central.

 

Mainstream leftists do not want the government controlling every aspect of our lives. If you think they do, you aren't paying attention to the mainstream left at all.

Conservatives are losing, above all, because they are allowing ideology to trump observation. Demonization has been trumping observation. Suggesting that communism is a mainstream leftist position is pure demonization. It's like suggesting that Nazis are mainstream conservatives, rather than being people that mainstream conservatives find horrifying.

 

It is not wrong to call out the enemy, which in this case IS the Left.

 

Isn't it a little bit unfair to brand everyone you could include in the group "the Left" as "the enemy". After all, statistically speaking you know exactly zero percent of them.

 

"Progressive" is just another word for authoritarian.

All authoritarians have at least one thing in common, be they Islamists, communists, socialists Republicans or Democrats,
they are all possessed with the same benevolent desire to impose their very best intentions upon others by force of law. None of them see the imposition of their best intentions upon others as a usurpation of other people's best intentions for themselves. They all see it as the only reasonable alternative to chaos or having their counterpart's best intentions imposed upon them by force, or by mere exposure.

 

You can't fight an enemy you can't see. It makes you a weak and vulnerable soldier. This is, above all, why the GOP is disintegrating. It has lost the ability to observe rather than project.

 

No, there is an authoritarian left and a "libertarian" left, and they squabble incessantly with each other. And, of course, most leftists fall somewhere in the middle.

What the heck would an "anarchist" be if not an anti-authoritarian leftist who wants the government out of people's lives?

 

No, it isn't unfair and I know the Left very well. I live in a city that has not had a Republican mayor since 1965, and has zero Conservative representation on the Common Council. Hence the reason why we have been either the second or third poorest city in the country.

 

So I'm your enemy, then?
