I'm not worried about what you do to yourself, I don't really care. I worry about what stoned drivers will do on the road.

Again, post the numbers that compare drunk driving to "pot" driving, and let's see the correlation there, and the excuses you and others use that allow alcohol but deny pot as a consumable to the people.

Let's just see. How about Washington State that legalized pot?

    It was bound to happen.

This article and the paper behind it is very much misleading. The NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) released a study concluding that there is very little significance of cannabis use and driving under the influence (http://reason.com/blog/2015/02/09/landmark-study-finds-marijuana-is-not-li). Most of the studies out there either purposely exclude or never discuss that there are other factors involved (IE: Alcohol, other drugs, etc). They find cannabis in the individuals system, they automatically assume this is the reason behind it.

Am I saying there is no impairment? Absolutely not, as studies have proven as much. However, to say, with cannabis use, there is increased accidents is highly inaccurate (Pun intended).

And yet tobacco, unlike marijuana, is LEGAL. What's wrong with this picture?

should sex be outlawed cause it may give you aids?

heck maybe we outlaw hospitals as you may get an infection resistant to antibiotics there

I think people need to be able to make choices for themselves

and btw, marijuana doesn't cause AIDS

Yes. Nothing like greatly increasing the amount of impaired drivers on our roads. What could possibly go wrong?

you seem to think people did not smoke when it was illegal

people drank during prohibition too, did you know that, all prohibition does is make criminals of those that do not abuse

it's still illegal to drive impaired on drugs, even prescription ones when legal

Impaired drivers should get one chance to drive again. 1st DUI conviction $10,000 fine, 1 year in jail and loss of driver's license for the year after getting out of jail. 2nd DUI conviction $25,000 fine, 3 years in jail and permanent revocation of driver's license. The penalties must be harsh enough to dissuade people from the activity.
