While the current asshat-in-chief has, indeed, exercised his pen-and-phone privilege with heretofore unprecedented frequency, the limp-wristed republican congress, who is charged with the duty to check and balance, has, for some reason, not found the fortitude to challenge and roll back those usurpations. I imagine the democrats,, and many of the republicans as well, will not be so flaccidly permissive with a President Trump.

Franco fought against the communists. In fact it wasn't until the Spanish civil war that Fascist went from being good little leftist to far right goons. It was one of Stalin's most successful and long lived lies.

And how will he work to set the country back? I get that you do not like him but in to post you have failed to say anything.

Newt Gingrich is supposed to know where all the skeletons are and all the ploys used to deal with Congress. If Trump is to make any progress, he will need someone like that.

If the President dies we get the VP as President. IMO Carson would not make a good President. He seems somewhat naive at times. Worse still, like Trump he has little experience in politics. IMO Trump needs to select someone that will balance out that weakness.

“If there is ever a fascist takeover in America, it will come not in the form of storm troopers kicking down doors but with lawyers and social workers saying. "I'm from the government and I'm here to help.”

Is that it? You think everyone should pay taxes as much? Never gonna happen. It would ruin America.

Because he's not a member of the 'ruling elite club', and so cannot be allowed to succeed. In spite of all the 'obstructionist' bluster, no one obstructs like the Democrats do.

Capitalists should look out for Americans, if they don't they're traitors to this nation.

Yeah, knocking down the doors of the Liberal media, and the vulture Capitalists outsourcing jobs, and importing illegal immigrants.

That's the main concern of Fascists, not the little guy.

your concerned about the little guy? You should ask .. why are little people so mad after 8 years of a liberal prez and wimpy R's? and don't answer with what the liberal media tells you "if possible"? They will only blame R's when the answer is R's are &**^% that they didn't fight Obama's agenda.

Obama hurt the little guy but you refuse to see it.

There are a couple of things here that simply don't jive. First and foremost, all the scare tactics. Trump is a racist, Trump is a bigot, Trump is a fascist, Trump is a sexist, Trump is a xenophobe... etc.... This is all typical left wing dirty tactics of scaring people but all false. We can't deny Trump uses colorful language and is not the most politically correct candidate, he is also not the best role model for kids. Now, about his qualifications? Why is it that a first time senator like Obama or Cruz are more qualified? Trump has experience creating jobs and by virtue of running a global company, he has dealt with politics and other Countries all his life. He lacks experience enacting laws, speaking from a teleprompter and sitting in the senate or house of representatives but so what. Ask yourselves, what have these career politicians done for the U.S in the past 20-50 years? We have 20 trillion in debt, they can't agree on healthcare reform, they can't agree on immigration reform, they go to bed with special interests that finance their campaigns... So, why do we want a continuation of the same? I guess we can just sit and wait for the debt to increase to 50 trillion, continue seeing illegal immigration pour in, continue to whine about healthcare but get nothing done and continue to police the world to destabilize nations. Sure, cause career politicians are just what we need to continue voting for.

As far as accusations of Trump being a racist, based on what? even Ben Carson endorsed him. Sexist? why? he attacks women just like he attacks men instead of treating women like emotionally shallow and weak people. xenophobe? because he's against illegal immigration? and concerned with muslim immigration? take a look at europe and the massive muslim problem they have. Trump is fine with legal immigration and muslims but asking for a review of how we vet muslims who want to come in. Fascist? dictator? This Country has check in balances in place, Trump can't just order everyone around, the military can refuse to follow illegal orders and congress can disagree with him.. He can also be impeached if he becomes reckless... There is 0 chance of anyone becoming some dictator... he would be removed from power quickly. A

All this is nothing more than left wing tactics to counter Trump's populist message that appeals across party lines. Democrats know his populist message can win him the election so their strategy will be to portray him as some dangerous, racist, sexist xenophobe who is a loose cannon etc...

Fact not in evidence, given his past campaign contributions, and given his expressed willingness to deal with Pelosi and Schumer.

They won't obstruct him if he does what they want.

I hear tell his first act as President will be to invade Canada. More living space for us Americans.

No, actually I think he will be fine. He has said a few things that "you can't say anymore" and it has gotten half the country into a tizzy. When you brush off the rhetoric, he is essentially running on three themes: lower corporate taxes to repatriate off shore wealth and stimulate investment here, secure the border, and renegotiate trade deals.

They are all reasonable and, I think, attractive policy positions. Hillary shrieking that he's anti-woman while "youths" burn police cars in the streets will only harden Trump support.

I'd imagine that, as a business man, you contribute to whomever will pull the strings you need to be pulled. "Deals" is what Trump does. He needs to deal with everyone, because if he doesn't, then we get what we've got. Getting more of what we've got is decidedly NOT the message being sent by The People, this time.

Who is 'they'? One side will always obstruct the other. Trump's only hope is that a deal can be struck between the two. And 'striking deals' is something he has demonstrated some level of proficiency in.

Look: I'm not happy about Trump, but I'm elated about the revolution his candidacy represents. I support him only because of the disaster that the status-quo alternative (Hillary) represents.

They should run their businesses and not betray America. To look out for America they need to leave their businesses behind. Capitalists are not known for their political skill. Almost all of them including Zuckerberg, Buffet, Gates, Soros, the Kochs, Romney ... are clearly narrowly informed political ninnies.

Trump seems to be a very rare exception.

Which hardly excludes him from the ruling elite.

Which might be interesting if we had any reason to believe he gives a damn about that.

    The Dems, obviously.

Sure, just like the GOP in Congress has been obstructing Obama.

Which is no problem when there are no principles to be compromised.

Damned if I know the hell anybody can know what his candidacy represents, as it's damn near impossible to keep track of his positions from one day to the next.
