There isn't a way that does not trample on not only a pregnant woman's rights but the rights of ALL born people.

The only proven ways to reduce abortion is comprehensive sex education and free at source contraception of all varieties ie IUD's, hormonal implants etc

If abortion were ever made illegal, I wonder how many tubals it would take to compensate.
I'm just saying, society doesn't absolutely need abortion to keep the population in check, there are other potential ways.

If having a baby is not a right, then society could potentially choose to impose its will onto the woman instead of she choosing to impose hers onto the fetus. We'd end up having the same number of people born.

Deciding how to limit reproductive freedom (and who specifically would be under sanction) would be a more complicated matter though, but it is a potentially viable way for elective abortion to be eliminated.

...Or perhaps just drastically reduced. I'd imagine if there was a government authority telling people who could have another baby, it wouldn't be that much more difficult for them to dictate who is allowed to have an abortion either.

Yet more blindfolded fantasy, there is no right to have a baby, there is a right to consent to who, what or when your body is used by another person in order to sustain their life . .you have that right, yet you want to violate that right for pregnant women basically trampling over your own constitution.

 

Well, then you've pretty much agreed to my point in the OP. If there's no right to be allowed to grow in the womb, then there's no right to start a baby growing in that womb either.

Think about it: If the woman can abort at any time, then starting a baby could be a potential violation to that baby's future rights if the woman ever decides to abort. So the right to abort precludes the right to get pregnant, if one assumes that a human being has the right not to be brought into existence only to be snuffed out soon thereafter.

You are confused, whether there is a right or not is not the issue, the issue is the right of one person to decide who, what, where and when there body is used by another, that right is fundamental, it even over rides another persons right to life when that person is injuring you without consent .. what do you think the whole basis of self-defence is governed by?

 

All are already covered by the right to choose. If you have a womb, you can use it to have babies if you want. It's your womb. Some people decide not to use their womb for making babies.

As we speak, there are children in need of a loving home. Without the support of a loving parent, they are much more likely to become pregnant and end up having an abortion. You can stand up and make a difference if you really want to.

If you don't want the responsibility, you can always be a BIg Brother. Being there for a fatherless child only takes one day a week.
