    Yes, excatly so.
Trump is an embarassment to the USA and to the whole free world. There's a battle of ideologies in the world. People are going to look at america and china and say "oh gee, the US is really (*)(*)(*)(*)ed. maybe democracy isn't that good after all. maybe we should try the chinese system".
you colonials and your seditious propaganda.

Yeah because nothing says "Let's start a business" like a recession. Global economics isn't your forte is it?

Indeed. Nothing can be perfect. But to deliberately create the environment for ISIS/terror is a type of American policing that made the world more crap. Hence we're better off without it, and we can do with a more Chinese approach where they wouldn't care what government is around in a sovereign nation until it crosses a line that the US crossed in regards to Iraq. You do realize that people have been dragged to court, found guilty and executed for way less than what the US is responsible for?

Perhaps you might explain why China putting tariffs on US imported goods would cause a recession in the US?

US exports to China is a minuscule part of US GDP, while Chinese exports to the US comprise a signficant enough percentage of its GDP to cause serious problems if the US raised tariffs.

For the record, you have to be very careful when reading "economic analysts for BOTH the left and the right." The predictive power of neoclassical economics is somewhere around zero - their models break down at critical transition points (no economist predicited the '08 crash). Almost invariably, the "predictions" of mainstream economists reflect their political assumptions. Their is little divergence between Paul Krugman and Greg Mankiw (Bush II's economic adviser) when it comes to the question of 'free' trade.

What no one will tell you is that most of the countries that have a significant portion of their GDP invested in exports ALSO are very protectionist when it comes to their own domestic economies. The protectionism is not only in the form of tariffs, but also in the form of difficult (sometimes impossible to overcome) regulations targeting imports. The US domestic economy is so big that it has been able to absorb a lot of the world's exports, but there is a limit. We have long since passed that limit.

I know you're only half-sarcastic about everything you write, but nevertheless it's still quite enjoyable to read. Keep up the good work, just don't cross that line with the Swedish meatballs.

This so much this. Every economist now relies on free trade and is usually employed by multinational corporations. Of course they would side with the entity feeding them.

because trump mention hes not only gonna tax import Chinese good, but mexico, india, japan, and other countries. in turn those countries gonna tax US export goods into their country. oh btw china is 2nd or 3rd largest of US import goods. a slow down in china around jan/16 cause stock market to dip 500pts+, imagine what happen if US start a trade war with every country could cause to stock market, which directly affect your 401k/government pension etc.

Since when do American's hold China's views above their own? I'd say it's not a joke - I'd say this is the beauty of Democracy (our form), almost exemplifying it. The people get what the people want, and nobody should tell them otherwise.

democracy does seem pretty stupid in a lot of ways - but its the best way i can think of to organize - having a fw people in charge make decisions is never a good idea bc you cant control who is going to be in power - no one will agree and those people will reap the rewards of their power at the expense of others

I hate to say that I am starting to agree but not because of Trump.

People all around the world are basically voting for free money and their countries are falling behind because of it

Why is it that whenever it's a Democrat, conservatives think everything they do threatens the fragile image of the U.S, whereas when it's a Republican, they just say "who cares what other countries think?"

You are right, free trade. That doesnt mean you arent free to put taxes and tarrifs on incoming and outgoing goods.

China sure as hell puts it on anything we buy or sell.

Why should we not be doing it? I dont understand why people think the US should be some shining start that takes it and never gives it bask.

That is why people like Trump, he is going to EQUAL the playing field. You put a tax on us? Right back at ya

Yes, the United States should reduce the minimum rage to $2 an hour and eliminate OSHA, the EEOC, the EPA and eliminate all required insurance so Americans can compete with China, correct? You do agree with that, don't you?

The world should pray that Trump wins the election, especially Europe... but then again they are not the smartest people in the world. They hated Reagan in Europe and called him a fascist, yet he helped dissolve the USSR and he put the world into a prosperity that has continued up until now...And yet they loved Obama and even gave him the Noble Peace prize because he lied so beautifully, and yet he has thrown the world into one war after another.

If Clinton gets in, there will be a world war ...and everyone with an ounce of brains knows it. She is as corrupt as they come, and as big a liar as Obama. To top it off she will probably make Victoria Nuland of the neo con Kagans her Secretary of State. Woe to the world!

No argument from me on that particular observation, but hey, that's dumbed-down tv for you! We're stricken with an irrational knee-jerk compassion whether it's deserved or not, but hey, that's liberalism for you!!

Our culture is built on foundation of European cultures. Better take a closer look at China and Muslims.
