Sander's just confirmed it on Twitter and Trump accepted Sanders offer on Jimmy Kimmel earlier. It will be a charity event and ratings bananza. If you remember two days ago, Hillary refused a Fox News invite to debate Bernie Sanders before the California primary.

Game on. I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7 primary.— Bernie Sanders (@BernieSanders) May 26, 2016

this will be worth the popcorn if it comes to pass. Hopefully Trump will research his anti socialist arguments. All he has to do is a quick study on the mess the EU has made of itself. France's recent short lived "millionaire tax" would be a good start. Greece shows what happens when welfare goes to far asnd Spain and Germany are great examples of clean energy fiascoes and the perils of unrestricted immigration without integartion

I agree. I also guarantee the Clinton camp didn't expect this. Between now and the debate, Trump can use this opportunity to marginalize Hillary as weak and afraid to join them to debate, especially after she once said this in 2008 running for president.

Sanders is pretty smart (or desperate) on this one. He's doubling down on his candidacy and this will either really help him in the extreme or really hurt him in the extreme. If Sanders comes off looking like a fool, Hillary will slide right into the nomination and if Sanders does well then he has fuel at the Dem convention which could challenge Hillary.

I doubt this will end up happening; however, if it does Sanders will show Trump for the fraud he is.

Not sure if it's a great idea for Trump or not but it elevates Bernie and makes Hillary look like she's afraid so maybe that's why Trump is doing it

Oh, that is great news indeed. I can't wait for how Sanders will handle The Donald. So far it doesn't look like the insults and ad-homs the Trump-Clinton debates are cooking for us.

    Here, this is for you.

    The Overhyping of Hillary

Hillary has lied so much you probably believe them all, like the claim that she was valedictorian at a school that does not have valedictorians.

Heads Hillary loses, tails Hillary loses on this one. DNC is in a world of hurt right now and the kim chee is getting deeper by the day. I can assure you that if DSW could turn the clocks back a year Biden, Kerry and a slew of other Dems would have ran. They were too stupid to see he writing on the wall with hillary and underestimated the public's disgust and distrust of the media

Sure thing, Bernie is going to clobber Trump with free healthcare, free tuition, guaranteed full time employment ($15/hr and up) for everyone in the world who is not lazy enough to walk through the borders which Bernie will keep open. This sh*t can fly in liberal debates which no one watches anyway, certainly not in the GE.

The only part Bernie has really been weak on in the Democratic debates has been foreign policy, where Clinton excels. Trump is weak on foreign policy, so neither come out on top. Watch, Bernie will go into detail while Trump does what Trump has done at every debate. Insult, throw out abstract ideas without giving substance (i.e "I'm going to build a wall, and everybody is going to love me). Honestly, the free healthcare is less of a fairy tale notion than forcing a country to pay up for something they've made quite clear they won't do.

Either way, Trump will be clobbered, and whine he was treated "unfairly."

Wanting to build a wall to keep wetbacks and 3rd worlders from invading America is not being weak on foreign policy. Also, wanting other countries to pay us for protecting them is not being weak on foreign policy. It's being strong and bold, especially when it comes to his stance on dealing with China.

Perfect way to marginalise Hillary, and make an appeal to Bernie's voters.

I imagine Trump and Bernie will talk about how Clinton voted for the Iraq War, and how corrupt and establishment she is.

It the debate take place, it will be mostly anti-Hillary debate. Neither Sander nor Tramp need to beat each other. And really, what for?

A magical wall isn't going to halt illegal immigration altogether. It's not a quick fix solution like how Trump is promoting it as. "Wanting" and "Forcing" are completely different. You're not realistically going to "force" another country to do anything. Trump can't run America like how he runs his businesses. That's not how the presidency works. Sorry to break it to ya Trumpkins, but that's how it is.

Regardless if its temporary of not, "banning Muslims" is advertising a quick fix as well. These quick fixes might help in the short run, but they are not the solution.

Dude, you're missing the point, Trump vs Sanders won't be a democratic debate. Sanders' open borders, free everything positions may resonate with the liberal segment of the viewers so he may well gain on Hillary but Trump is running the GE campaign where many Sanders economic ideas are a complete non-starter.

I think the debate would be interesting to say the least. If the DNC had enough guts to go to a contested convention, Bernie would come out of it swinging. We don't want Hillary, Hillary is only a invitation for Trump to get his greedy hands on the White House. It will also force Trump to actually debate-not take up time throwing fairy tale ideas around, or insults.

The debate if it takes place would work out amazingly well for both, Bernie will raise his profile going into the democratic convention and somewhat increase his chances, and Trump will play nice and agreeable and make significant inroads into the pool of Sanders supporters many of whom might switch to him when Sanders is inevitably out.

No one reads Hillary's tweets :roflol:

    You're thinking of Trump.

Dude, Trump is destroying Hillary. I know you would have loved it if it was Jeb Bush, little pudgy Neo-Con begging Hispanics for votes in Spanish, talking about open borders, and apologising to Hillary if he "crossed the line", and trying to make nice nice.

But, it's not. Trump is crushing Cankles from angles she never dreamed of.
