I had hoped for something other than "let me ask my preacher for 'my' answer'" but bawk on the religion goes...

In reality, science says that when a variable, CO2 in this case, causes something (warming), it does so EVERYWHERE, not just in one place but not the other...

Let's see what the tippy's say...

"This winter, the (all time record) maximum total Antarctic sea ice extent was reported to be 19.47 million square kilometres, which is 3.6% above the winter average calculated from 1981 to 2010. This continues a trend that is weakly positive and remains in stark contrast to the decline in Arctic summer sea ice extent (2013 was 18% below the mean from 1981-2010)."

    OK...

"Antarctic climate scientists still have their work cut out to understand the regional declines amidst the mild “net” expansion occurring in the southern hemisphere."

    LOL!!!!

WE DO NOT KNOW.... but it sure doesn't disprove CO2 - LOL!!!!

"Here are some of the leading hypotheses "

    LOL!!!

"Increased westerly winds around the Southern Ocean, linked to changes in the large-scale atmospheric circulation related to ozone depletion, will see greater northward movement of sea ice, and hence extent, of Antarctic sea ice.

Increased precipitation, in the form of either rain or snow, will increase the density stratification between the upper and middle layers of the Southern Ocean. This might reduce the oceanic heat transfer from relatively warm waters at below the surface layer, and therefore enhancing conditions at the surface for sea ice.

Similarly, a freshening of the surface layers from this precipitation would also increase the local freezing point of sea ice formation.

Another potential source of cooling and freshening in the upper ocean around Antarctica is increased melting of Antarctic continental ice, through ocean/ice shelf interaction and iceberg decay.

The observed changes in sea ice extent could be influenced by a combination of all these factors and still fall within the bounds of natural variability."

    This is what I call

    THE IDIOCY of the FRAUD...

Science is either proven or disproven by real data. Antarctica disproves the theory that CO2 is causing "melting." But the supporters of Algore don't understand science. They understand parroting and worshipping these easily discredited fudgebaking liars.

Really, folks, if CO2 was the variable, both poles should be doing the same thing. They aren't. Hence, the THEORY is WRONG.

You were given the evidence and chose to ignore it which is not shocking to me.

Evidence of what, that your heroes can't explain it?? That they have a list of BS trying to "hypothesize?"

Face it, you don't have a clue. ALL you do is PARROT easily discredited liars.

And you lie. I did not "ignore" it. I will always look. I wanted an answer. I got a list of BS with both hands extended saying

    WE HAVE NO CLUE ...

but we still want $30 bil per year of US taxdollars to study it...

Um, no. That's just bizarre babbling nonsense on your part, unsupported by any science, logic or history.

Now, let's do what upsets you most, and show you actual evidence. This is a 1991 paper from Dr. S. Manabe, considered to be the father of climate science, and it states exactly why Antarctic sea ice would expand. Page 795. It's yet another example of how good the climate model predictions have been, and the length of time that deniers have been lying about that.

Transient Responses of a Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Model to Gradual Changes of Atmospheric CO2. Part I: Annual Mean Response

It is surprising, however, that the sea-ice thickness in the G integration increases significantly in the vicinity of the Antarctic Continent despite the increase of atmospheric carbon dioxide. This is consistent with the slight decrease of the sea surface temperature mentioned earlier (fig. 10a.) It will be shown in section 9a that, owing to the intensification of the near-surface halocline caused by the increased supply of water at the oceanic surface, the convective mixing of cold near-surface water with warmer, underlying water becomes less frequent, resulting in the increase in sea ice and a slight reduction in sea-surface temperature.
    ---

That's pretty much exactly what happened. So, the scientists were proven right again, which, according to deniers, proves the scientists were wrong.

"This is consistent with the slight decrease of the sea surface temperature"

Thanks for confessing that OCEAN TEMPS are NOT WARMING....

    Oh the hilarious irony here.

THEORY - increasing CO2 in the atmosphere will melt sea ice

RESULT - endless tippy toppiest babble about melting Arctic Sea Ice, mostly censorship regarding expanding Antarctic Sea Ice, and no mention that growing Antarctic Sea Ice

    DISPROVES THE THEORY

Real science starts with theory and data. When the theory explains the data, the theory is accepted. When the data refutes the theory, the theory is rejected.

Your pathetic excuse for "real scientists" do not practice real science. They practice pushing a flawed theory and fudging data to fit the theory. The theory never had any validity at all.

But one has to understand basic science to figure that out, which your birdbrain clearly cannot...

Has Algore linked sunspots to atmospheric CO2 yet?

I assume you know that "real scientists" have tendency to lie like rugs. ;-)

It is important to keep things like that in mind.

Trust has little to do with it. We rely on human beings, including scientists, for many things - trust is always very conditional.

    Reagan had it backwards. ;-)

The why does the UNFCCC/IPCC work to deny the fossil fuel benefits of clean water to third world countries ??

Will the UNFCCC/IPCC allow redistributed wealth from developed countries to third world countries to be used to construct fossil fuel power plants ?? Will the UNFCCC/IPCC work with the World Bank to provide financing to construct fossil fuel power plants in third world countries ?? The won't and thus deny third world countries the fossil fuel benefits of clean water and the means to increase the standard of living.

It's well-supported. It's only discredited in the minds of a tiny regressive cult.
