I've only voted for prez 3 times. First was for John Anderson. Next was Ross Perot. My last vote was for Gore because Bush was just too stupid for me to vote for. I've sat out since then, but this time I'm voting Trump.

I am reading some interesting statistics that indicate that Bernie could well put this out of the fire at the last moment........
and perhaps flip a significant percentage of Hillary's support before and during the Democratic National Convention, (July 25 - 28)?

Can Bernie support FLIP the DNC?

Would you vote differently if the Bernie support flipped the Democratic National Convention at the last moment?

Voting Gary Johnson. He's not as pure of a Libertarian as I'd like, but the LP needs someone more moderate like him for now until the people start picking up what he's putting down. Going all in with a hardcore libertarian would not be a good move, there'd be too much shock for the American people philosophically. Originally I was forcing myself to like Trump because gun rights are the most important thing to me (and should be for everyone else but I'll leave it at that) but now I can vote with a good conscience while not letting a gun grabber like Clinton or someone with un-American ideals like Trump have my vote.

No it is not, a President is a combination of a leader and a showman. You cannot be boring, otherwise you do no inspire.

That would be sweeet! I'd hate to see her win, that's for sure.

I just can't fathom how anyone could see the Libertarian Party as an alternative to the two major parties. The Libertarian Party platform advocates free movement of labor across borders, unrestricted free trade, and free movement of capital. How in heaven's name is this different from what Mitt Romney advocates?

If anything, this proves how conservatives dominate this forum. I'm voting for Hillary unless she chooses Warren as VP. If she does that, I'll write in Michael Jordan or something. The one thing that is a guarantee is I'm not voting for a crazy Libertarian and I'm not voting for a nut job like Trump.

Hillary is status quo. I like my life, the last thing I want is someone that is going to drastically change things based off ideological positions. Hillary and Obama are not socialists. They are simply just kind of to the left of someone like GWB or Mitt Romney. Very few differences between all of them. And that's what I like. I do like some of Trump's ideas, but he is just not someone I want leading this country. He's a psychopath.

Looking forward to voting for Trump. First time I've actually been enthused to vote for the Republican since Reagan. Voted dutifully for all the others except McCain, whom I just couldn't stomach; voted for the Constitution Party candidate instead. I knew that voting for Dole would waste a couple of hours out of my day. HW Bush was a good president overall, and put a good team together around him. He should have won a second term. GWB, well whatever.

Trump should make for a good President, just the type of person we need at this moment in time; Hillary a disastrous one. If one could list all the attributes that would make someone a bad president, it would paint a high resolution image of Hillary Clinton. I don't think the country, as misguided as it is, is so misguided as to drive off that cliff. We'll know in November.

There are actually 23 people on this forum who will vote for Trump?

It starting to be clear that we are returning to an age of irrationality.

I have to agree with that. Eliminating Clinton and Trump leaves Johnson and Stein. From my perspective, the Libertarian Party has historically been a stalking horse for integrating the most extreme aspects of neoliberalism into the mainstream - Mitt Romney or Clinton economic policy on steroids. Thus, this leaves the Greens.

Such is my reasoning. Your mileage may vary.

Not all libertarians support open borders. I do support work visas. The main thing is I want smaller government. It has become far to large and intrusive. Both main parties trash the constitution

I'm voting for the person conveniently left off this list; Jill Stein - Green Party.

Ideally I'd like to see a Trump/Gingrich ticket.

    I'm not "joking," I'm serious.

The MSM has demonized Trump with relentless hyperbole that is based upon far more fiction than fact. While not my first choice for a nominee, I have every intention on voting for Trump in November.

I pay no attention to the harpies on the Left predicting apocalyptic consequences for a Trump Presidency.

Now do I think he'll win the Presidency? I don't think he will, but regardless, I vote on principle. Trump's platform is a better match to my own views, than is Hillary Clinton's.

I don't even think immigration is a real issue anymore. Hasn't been in a few years.

Trump because I support LEGAL immigration and not giving our country away to illegals and refugees.

And because it's not Hillary, a woman who will gladly sacrifice American lives in order not to (*)(*)(*)(*) off our enemies.

I've heard him say some things out of his own mouth. He is at least an obnoxious twit, and I don't think he is a very honest person either. You don't get to where he is by being a "good guy."

    - - - Updated - - -

Hey, there are a few issues that I agree with each side about. The candidates they have running are just completely moronic, shady and untrustworthy, IMO.
