    Utter nonsense!

On multiple occasions it has been stipulated that abortion was LEGAL when this nation was founded and the 9th amendment covered all rights that had not been enumerated as belonging to the people.

That is not a "blank stare". That is the LAW OF THE LAND!

The firing squad is carrying out a sentence passed by a court of law ergo no morality involved.

Unless you can prove that a fetus has rights it doesn't. So far no one has done so.

Woman do not have the "right to kill". They have the right to control as and when they choose to remain pregnant.

Couldn't you try to apply that argument to an adult human being also?

    A. It's none of your business.

    B. Women have a right to their own bodies.

OKay, now we know who you think has rights.

A court has rights per you.

What right? To kill human beings.

The members of the same firing squad decide that on the way home, they observe person A killing B.

They just shot X who killed Y.

Do you wish to defend them for killing the person they saw kill a person since they had been appointed by the court to carry out killing those who killed?

Does the Constitution confer on the court higher rights than it does on citizens? If so, how can it be claimed by none other than Outlaw Abe Lincoln to be a government of the people, for the people and by the people?

Yes, and when you do so the Law of the Land stipulates that everyone who is "naturally born" does have rights. That applies regardless of citizenship to every "naturally born" person under US jurisdiction.

Since a fetus doesn't meet that legal criteria it does not have rights.

Right. So you're appealing to morality.

Are the defenseless and vulnerable in our society none of our business? Is a murder off limits to law enforcement because it happens inside a woman's womb?

Abortion doesn't take away that right. You can do anything with your body that doesn't infringe on someone else.

The court did not confer a blanket "license to kill" so your scenario has no rational basis whatsoever.

The Law of the Land grants everyone the right to a trial so those members of the firing squad can be witnesses during the trial.

The Law of the Land works on the basis of the Separation of Powers. Congress gets to decide what penalties to impose should someone violate the law. It can decide that 1st degree murder warrants the death penalty. The courts will then take that into account when sentencing someone who has been found guilty beyond any reasonable doubt of 1st degree murder. The POTUS can then decide to commute the sentence to life imprisonment.

This is all basic social studies 101.

Abortion does not "infringe on someone else".

    1. Thus far you failed to prove abortion was legal when the nation was founded.
    2. Roe was not decided based on the 9th amendment, yet it had been given as an argument by the lawyers representing Roe. The court rejected that as an argument. (actually Roe no longer needed an abortion so had no standing)

    http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/abortion.htm

Notice too how the court does pick a time to tell the woman she must carry to term. They do not see her so called right as absolute.

DeRideo Te wants to know why I don't see this as religious.

I have studied plenty of law. I took formal law courses. I never was schooled to argue legal cases based on religion.

My rights end where your rights begin and vice versa.

    Think about it.

I apologize for learning law in law courses and not in Social Studies 101 where you learned ... ahem, law.

    - - - Updated - - -

You have said you really have no rights that your rights come with conditions and restrictions.

    Think about that.

And that's why women lose some rights during a pregnancy.

How is a discussion about rights not prone to precede a discussion about morality?

That as I see it is non responsive to this post to you.

Let's collect the argument I profer.

    1. Court has rights. Yes or no?
    2. If yes, are those a right named in the constitution?
    3. Does Court hold higher rights than citizens?
    4. How do you reconcile what Abe told to the people?

Comey and Lynch when ruling in favor of Hillary, with no such thing as a trial, ruled it is.

You have the individual right to your own morality under the Constitution.

However that same Constitution protects ME from YOUR morality.

My individual rights cannot be denied by any individual or the tyranny of the majority.

But the clincher is that your rights are meaningless unless I uphold them and vice versa. We the People are responsible for upholding our individual rights and defending them from being infringed upon.

And just for Robert, yes, all rights come with restrictions and conditions. Your right to own a firearm is restricted if you have a restraining order against you.

Me and everyone else in the world, we call that morality. You are making prescriptive statements.

As I have related in the past, experience.

When I was still a loyal Democrat, in most states, abortions were illegal. When CA law changed, me and the former wife took advantage of the new law and she got the abortion.

I looked at it I suppose as so many Democrats do, as our choice.

She told me her doctor had explained to her that more kids were a danger. She has Rh negative blood. Matter of fact, that being the case we were concerned that our daughter when born would have serious health issues. But fortunately our daughter has been totally fine.

It was a major change in my thinking that swayed me off the Democrats form of thinking.

Even so, later on, a different daughter of the same wife, though with a father she never knew, ended up pregnant. She called me. She told me she really did not want her mom to find out. So as a then still loyal Democrat, I took her to the place she decided to go and paid for the abortion. I saw her anguish. Though her mom and I divorced, I still approved her staying at my home. I witnessed her trauma. She was trashed by the boy.

Two of those got me to starting to think over what happens.

Mind you, I was still as gung ho for abortions as you few pro abortion types are.

Hell, it sure could put an end to a father having responsibility and at that time I saw that as good for the man.

It was later on that a woman I later fell in love with told me she might be pregnant. She did not bring up zygotes nor fetus. She told me marrying me would be great. I did not want her to feel pressure. I drove her to Kaiser hospital where she told me the results of her test were.

When there, but prior to her learning, she started to be a real (*)(*)(*)(*)(*). I was shocked since normally she was sweet as sugar.

Something had her super upset. We had not rushed into sex. We took our time. Got to really get to know each other or so I thought. She never had children. She was in her mid 30s. I had fallen hard for her. I was of the belief it was mutual.

We went to eat as we waited on Kaiser. I hoped her mood would improve. Anyway, I drove her home. She asked me to return to Kaiser the following day with a sample she handed to me. I did take it to them.

Suddenly as I am home going to sleep, she calls me. She tells me a lie. That she was at home and sick. That was why she had not called me back. I lived a short distance from where she rented and drove by that house. She was not there. The house was pitch black. I only did so since she had talked to me all sweet and kind, but in maybe 10 minutes she called me back all pissed off. She learned I had talked to the woman at the rental she lived at who told me she was not at home.

Anyway, I found out she called me from San Francisco at some guys apartment.

She had gone there for the abortion I believe.

This led to the very fast break up. I have to admit, that honestly hurt me more than the divorce had hurt.

Anyway, there has been a later event with a different woman but though it took time, I realized at last we killed our children.
