    To bad New York doesn't have the death penalty anymore.

    This is my favorite part.

    "other charges" Maybe it should read vehicular manslaughter and other chargers instead. Way to bury the lead.

    He's a disgrace to all of humanity.

    When I was 20, I was nearly killed by a drunk driver who drove thru the freeway divider. I have NO sympathy for drunk drivers and certainly none for this clown.

    I'd give him the chair stat if NY had a death penalty.

    What if he was a surgeon does make him a disgrace to all doctors? Or an intalian does that's mean that he disgraced all Italians.

    Who he disgraced was himself and he or ably destroyed his family.

    No chance of just making the story based on another drunk driver in a fatality accident.

    No. Had to make sure that it was an off-duty police officer who was the drunk driver.

    Now there's a story. It's better than all the daily shootings that take place every day in these cities.

    That's how you sell newspapers in Big City, USA.

    Both ideas are preposterous of course and I'm sure my sarcasm was evident. No blue flags (or houses) and no black flags (or houses). There are good cops (the majority) and bad cops (the minority) and there a good Muslims (the majority) and bad Muslims (the minority).

    There's only one problem. All too often an off-duty officer that's pulled over for being drunk is not arrested while just "another drunk driver" always is.

    The OP's story is a few days old... Batka was charged with manslaughter, two counts of vehicle manslaughter, three counts of assault, DWI, driving while ability impaired and driving on a sidewalk. Batka has been on the force for one year. The two off-duty police that were drinking with him that night were stripped of their guns and shields.

    You're trying too hard for something that isn't there, for no reason other than you hate cops...unless you're in need of help.
