History, if read carefully enough, teaches many lessons about oppression. Empires through history have ruled the masses by denying them basic rights and freedoms; a way of suppression by way of oppression. Without the basic tools and freedoms, we are left subject to dictation.

In the case of Stockholm Syndrome where a victim is left with only the last resort of psychologically giving in to view their oppressor as a provider of security and daily needs, we can see how feeble the mind is when pushed to abandon all memories of life or freedom before falling captive. When the human mind has lost all hope, it goes into survival mode, a mode of distorted reality.

The effects of Stockholm Syndrome can come quickly with repeated abuse or they can form slowly when the will to live, hope, dream, remember are gradually stripped away. The victim in this case has given up all will to the care of their captor.

In the days of the Ottoman Empire, people of conquered lands were forcefully made to obey the new law. In the Roman Empire the masses worked for the good of the emperor. During the United Soviet Socialistic Republic, civilians were murdered in great numbers who posed a threat to their Czar. Not so long ago Hitler cleverly poisoned the minds of good people to believe that genocide was necessary for survival. Even today we can see such effects of oppression in North Korea, Myanmar (Burma), Syria, and China among others. Such oppression is everywhere the globe over. Human rights are still under attack today as they were thousands of years ago.

The odd thing is that here in the US, we are rendering our freedoms one by one, or vexing one against another. Media propaganda has painted a vivid and colorful picture in trying to portray that we cannot have all; that if we want one freedom, another has to go. We are being sold an idea that liberties are to be traded. If we give up one we can be offered another in return. Such bargaining is a way to oppression and by the same way that the human psyche is lured into believing that if we accept one then everything will be ok. By definition this is the very process that victims of Stockholm Syndrome endure and eventually settle on.

Such a process leads to serving your master.

Media outlets around the world are profit based entities. They are usually BIG money ventures and beholding to those with the largest profiting interests. If the flavor of the day is racism, then that is what you are shown. If the flavor of the day is violence and unrest, then that is what is broadcast. The intent is to sell fear within communities.

The message? The message is that a placid and tranquil world is only around the corner if you render more of your rights; if you give up enough then you will experience a long-lasting life of harmony and fortitude. If you are destitute and addicted to drugs or alcohol then it makes it even easier.

Government by way of design in the US is intended that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. This government, by practice, has become run by individuals with vested interests outside of your own.

Our freedoms to own and operate firearms has long been under attack. It seems no accident that news media outlets are so focused on unrest and violence in recent years. If they sell enough of it, the lobbyists and special interest groups can succeed in legislating the means of personal protection out of citizens hands.

The far left will say that this is Kool-aid. They are so far swayed already that they cannot fathom that they are being led or guided to adjunct realities. They will argue that it is in our best interest to trust authority. They will try to be convincing that 'normalcy bias' is a ghost term. They will only be satisfied when you admit that guns cause crime, just like the media has told them. They believe that the 'gun' can be un-invented and that fallacy will lead to bigger freedoms and safety for all.

Gun control advocates are already serving their master.

I posted another thread, talking about how it's unbelievable that so many people voluntarily ask for their rights and privileges to be taken away.
