Global Warming: Strongest Evidence it is manmade

I illustrated in my newest thread that I think the same thing, that Global Warming will cause "wars/migrations, plague, pestilence and famine".

250ppm CO2 = +4watts/square meter.

We can reproduce in laboratory environment that more CO2 = higher base temp than a gas with same conditions but less CO2.

Can you explain how MORE CO2 will NOT warm the planet?

OK bring rain to arid areas please. NOW....please. Any third-rate gardener will tell you that increasing CO2 levels creates healthier plants that BTW, will respire Oxygen for most of the day. Is that a bad thing? More plants, more food, more animals, etc. Unless, of course, you live in the highly populated areas on the East and West coasts where liberals live, respire CO2 and generally crap in their own backyards then point the finger at everyone else.

 

The sad thing about all this is that now that CH4 is bubbling out....this has become self sustaining.

There is NOTHING we can do to stop it.

But the Earth is a self correcting system like a Fish Tank.

Republicans don't deny we are currently warming we only question , scientifically what the cause is. And those with a science vbackgroung believe it is part of the climate cycle that has been on going for millions of years. Should we do what we can to to lower our impact on the climate sure it can't hurt, but we can't stop the natural cycle. iMO

 

If true, this is still only step one in a long progression of steps needed to then put a gun to MY HEAD to pay for ANY REMEDIATION.

What was the temperature on January 18, 893 AD, the Co2 concentration on that day, the CH4 on that day, and any other weather data from that day. Then pull it for that whole year. All 365(or366, could have been a leap year) data points.

Whats that? You don't have that information? You only have that kind of info since 1850? That's what I mean by more data.

According to the program, I watched on PBS, Alaska's north shore was only about 400 miles from the north pole at that time. Plate tectonics have shifted that south to about 1200 miles. They found many varieties of both plant and meat eating animals, so what were all those plant eating dinosaurs eating on the north shore of Alaska only 400 miles from the north pole? Santa's Salad?

 

CO2 doesn't add warmth to the air, it re-emits at certain wavelengths so allegedly blocks outgoing radiation. It is also incorrect to say the sun has not changed. The sun is now not very active leading some scientists to believe cooling is on the way.

AGW is an hypothesis that is unfalsifiable. CAGW is only an idea. No one knows how an increase in CO2 will act in a non-linear chaotic climate. Computer models are not fact or real world.

 

Exactly right. Is the planet's climate changing? Of course it is; it always has been, it always will be. That's not even at issue. But those who want to attribute these changes to human activities need to explain how/why similar changes have taken place in the past, prior to any human activities taking place, prior to any humans being around. The earth has passed through multiple ice ages. The earth has passed through multiple warming periods. The earth has even been through the rather traumatic reversal of its magnetic poles. Those so concerned about climate change need to understand that humans have been keeping weather records for, what, a few hundred years now? In geologic terms, that is merely the blink of an eye. So make your case: What makes you think the climate changes currently taking place have anything to do with human beings? And what makes you think anything we do can prevent those changes from taking place?

 

And you have no rational idea as to what to do about AGW, even if it is true. I'll tell you what, you go get Brasil, Russia, India and China to stop dumping thousands of times more pollutants into the atmosphere, and then come preach to me about my way of life. GFY!
