Poll on Polls

I wonder how many here have actually been called by any of the national pollsters we constantly hear about. I haven't.

Yes, we are apparently on the list. We were called twice in the primary. Would not answer both times.

 

If you did not answer, how did you know it was a polling organization?

 

Well there's 146 million registered voters and the largest poll on rcp is about 12000ish, usual is more like 1000. So the odds for any given poll are pretty low. Like 1 in 146000 for most polls, 1 in 12000ish for the largest.

 

OK thanks....Seems that they poll some of the same folks....I would think that a true poll would include a larger population of data.
