What happened to all the successful predictors of past elections picking Trump?! 1 week does not an election make..it's who's standing at the end!

Trumps likes conflict, Hill likes softball questions or none at all!

If there's anything the American public should know by now, it's that much of the mainstream media is working very closely with the Clinton campaign, to the detriment of any opposition. (Sorry Bernie...). For the next three months, Trump will be pounded from all angles, and Hillary will be allowed to skate happily along, saying that Comey said she did nothing wrong. Yup, a nice, level playing field.

Man you truly drink the koolaid don't you. As of May 10 the count was HRC 1705 delegates to Sanders 1414 delegates with about a 1000 delegates left...remember that super delegates do not count until the convention. According to snopes.com there was a 291 delegate difference and at this rate neither candidate would reach the required delegates to secure the nomination.

As I said before, if those leaked emails were released before Sanders dropped out, who knows what would have happened. And if the corporate MSM hadn't continually harped that HRC had almost 2200 delegates counting the super delegates already for Hillary. Like I said, the fix was in.

Btw, LOL @ the media trying to pretend Jill Stein doesn't exist, when all the Bernie kids on social media talk about is Jill Stein.

It's going to be so fun watching the left's smoke and mirrors fall apart.

Wow, it's only early August and the GOP faithful seem to be throwing in the towel and going straight to whining that they didn't get a fair shot and the election is rigged. Donald Trump was accusing the RNC and Reince Preibus of being a disgrace and rigging the nomination against him. What a bunch of whining sissies. We sure as hell don't want this kind of excuse making administration running our country.

A persistent disinflationary/deflationary environment conditions people not to spend. As the Great Depression showed, this conditioning can be very strong indeed. Consumer spending will be the last to recover.

My parents, and others that grew up in the Depression, were extremely tight with money - it took a world war to break deflationary psychology. You probably knew people like that in your own family.

Another factor that will limit recovery is that the US (and the rest of the West) are mature economies. We will never see the rapid growth we had in the post-WWII era.

The US has been in a disinflationary effective demand trap for decades, aggravated by government austerity. (Fortunately, the US never went as far as some European nations and escaped a lot of the self-inflicted carnage.)

if you feel that consumer spending is not a good thing to look at you could also look at credit card debt. If as you say people are more cautious then they would be digging themselves out of the holes they are in while the money is good.

Consumer Spending is going down and Credit card debt is getting higher. Both indicate a populace with no money to spend despite claims by the left that everything is great.
