(edit: the county that Jack Daniels is in is semi-dry--you can't buy an alcoholic beverage in a bar or restaurant, but you can buy alcohol at a package store). Tennessee has dry counties, semi-dry counties and wet counties. Dry counties allow absolutely no alcohol sales. Semi-dry counties allow cities in the county to choose whether or not to have alcohol sales, or can restrict sales to stores only (no bars). Wet counties allow alcohol sales in the entire county. Per wiki, Tennessee has 95 counties--26 are dry, 60 are semi-dry, and 9 are wet.
