White people who cannot enslave or segreagate and oppress will not surprisingly incarcerate more African Americans. But even with the bogus arrests and incarceration, the African American communities are far, far, far better off now than they have ever, ever, ever been in United States history. And you have to be floridly racist and profoundly stupid to not know that.

This is insane. Black communities are far more close knit and positive and safer than they have ever been by far right now. And the racist morons will find a few blocks in one spot on the globe which is struggling right now and pretend it is representative of the whole. But even in the south side of Chicago, life is better for African Americans than during the Jim Crow era.

And EVER, EVER, EVER means EVER, EVER, EVER. So stop pretending it is okay to not take him “verbatim.”

At least give a measurement to back it up... internal factors of course.

If you take him verbatim, you're gonna have a bad time. Trump talks like an average Joe, not a politician. I think we all figured that out already?

You have to be profoundly stupid to believe black communities are just doing hunky dory, and better than they have ever before, because not much has changed.

Good luck with your profound stupidity.

Well they are if you think about it.

    - Blacks now slaughter each other and have killed more blacks in 30 years than the KKK and slavery combined in their entirety .

-Blacks populate the worst areas you can live in in the country

-Their education is not even given a second look, because it is the last thing on their leaders minds

-Their heroes are people like Kanye West , Al Sharpton

And guess where they are worse off? Democrat ran cities.

    Yet trump is the problem?

Hey black folks, some white liberal troll on a message board said black folks are never doing better, it must be true. Happy days are here again!!!!

Just ignore the decline of the black middle class.

rise to the middle class for African Americans throughout the 1960s, however, leveled off and began to decline in the following decades due to multiple recessions that struck America throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Blacks and other lower-class groups suffered the brunt of those recessions.[15] In addition, with beliefs in "reverse racism" prevailing, aiding programs that were enacted during the U.S. Civil Rights Movement to improve the state of the black community began being heavily opposed and overturned by the late 1970s and into the 1980s. There is also evidence to suggest the wealth gap has been exacerbated by the housing market bubble in 2006 and the recession that followed from late 2007 to mid-2009, which took a far greater toll on depleting minority wealth.[16] According to Inequality.org "the median black family is actually only worth $1,700 when you deduct these durables. In contrast, the median white family holds $116,800 of wealth using the same accounting methods. Some historical context: In South Africa, during the atrocities of apartheid, the median black family held about 7 percent of typical white South African family net worth. Today, using Wolff’s analysis, the median African American family holds a mere 1.5 percent of median white American family wealth. As shown on Eurweb - Electronic Urban Report" "Only 5% of African American Households Have More than $350,000 in Net Worth" According to the Federal Reserve Survey of Consumer Finances, of the 14 million black households, only 5% have more than $350,000 in net worth, and less than 1% of black families have over a million in net assets.

right after you give one of yours. And, btw, African Americans are Americans. And the whole thing about race is an artificial distinction imposed by white American on people with dark skin and African features.

So the only “internal factors” that have meaning are the ones in the community of oppressors who arbitrarily separated themselves from other Americans.

Dude, ever, ever, ever is exactly what he meant. Stop making excuses for not taking him to task for his racism.

Oh, I dunno, maybe something like prohibition violence and the era of the gangster perhaps, or maybe it could have been Capone running the city?

This is called a non sequitur. Nobody said African American communities are doing hunky dory. You'd have to be an idiot to think that is what anyone said in this thread.

You also have to be a florid racist and and idiot to think black communities in 2016 are worse off than black communities in Mississippi or Alabama, or virtually anywhere in the country during the Jim Crow era.

How was life in Selma, Alabama, for example, for African Americans in the 1960s? How about in Mississippi in 1964?

Pick a city the size of Chicago for me then so we can have some input on peaceful inner city black communities.

    Go for it.

If they're just Americans why do they insist on being called African Americans to create their own sub-class of citizen? It's their invention, we had nothing to do with it.

Personally I think they should just be called Americans, but what do I know.

Black citizens were on a great path in the 70's and 80's, there were some bumps, but black kids actually knew who their father was and the culture inspired by their music and art was beautiful for lack of a better word.

Then the 90's hit and they did a 180 turn with gangsta rap and crack. Those two things have done more damage to the black community than whitey ever could.

    New York City.

And don't forget that blacks are not autonomous. But as they have come closer to having the liberties and protections that whites have always had, the quality of life has skyrocketed and the homicide rates have plummeted.

    Don't make me vomit.

Blacks didn't know who their fathers were when they were slaves, and they were ripped from their mothers hands. They were bred like horses. They were brutalized for caring about their own children. The notion that blacks were better off as slaves is simply monstrous.

It is your Messiah who used the African American label. I call black Americans black. I call them that because that is what the blacks I know prefer. For example, Smokey Robinson: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iIkNsj6cDGc

I wasn't aware they were still in slavery during the 70's and 80's.

Pssst, slavery ended a 150 years ago.
Pathetic that this is all you have to cry about.

you are babbling about slavery, and yet saying black folks are doing never better.
Wow, a leftist with no coherent message. I'm shocked.

New York is a fairly good example. Good job with that one. Giuliani really cleaned the place up and set programs in place that brought crime to historic lows.

    Unfortunately, it's going downhill again.

Murder, rape and robbery are on the rise in NYC under liberal ridiculousness. If the trend continues it will probably resemble San Francisco in a few years.

No my messiah isn't Jesse Jackson, who started (along with pretty much every black person) demanding they be called African Americans.

The notion that once given partial representation in government and more liberties caused African American communities to fall apart is profoundly racist and ignorant. Blacks are far, far, far better off now than they were in the 1970s. Name a seventies equivalent of Oprah, or Condoleezza Rice, or Colin Powell, or JAY Z, or Michael Steele, or Corey Booker, or Barack Obama.

Psst, widespread terrorism and violations of blacks constitutional rights continues today, but was on such a massive scale in the Deep South in the 1950s and 1960s that elections were more of a sham than elections in most third world countries and it took military troops to keep white terrorists from brutalizing blacks who dared want their children to attend a properly funded school or who wanted to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

Trump uses the expression African Americans. Surely you don't think he is pandering to Jesse Jackson, do you?

I used it in this thread, only because that is how your messiah referred to black Americans.
