    http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/21/politics/mustard-gas-us-troops/

"ISIS is suspected of firing a shell with mustard agent that landed at the Qayarrah air base in Iraq Tuesday where US and Iraqi troops are operating, according to several US officials.

The shell was categorized by officials as either a rocket or artillery shell. After it landed on the base, just south of Mosul, US troops tested it and received an initial reading for a chemical agent they believe is mustard.
No US troops were hurt or have displayed symptoms of exposure to mustard agent."

We must step up our campaign against ISIS, militarily. What will it take to convince people we must officially delare war on ISIS, and put troops on the ground? This threat must be neutralized.

No US troops were hurt or have displayed symptoms of exposure to mustard agent.

One official said the agent had "low purity" and was "poorly weaponized." A second official called it "ineffective."

A US defense official said troops had gone out to look at the ordnance after it landed. Based on seeing what they thought was a suspect substance, two field tests were conducted.....snip~

Its not the first time they have tried to use Mustard Gas on our Troops. BO peep isn't going to up our game against them. He wants out before anything else goes down.

    Mustard gas is so 1914!

This scare mongering about chemical weapons is ridiculous. One modern missile causes more damage and deaths than any World War one chemical weapon.

Yeah, I am sure CNN wanted to be about the scare mongering for BO peep. Just to draw more attention to what he don't want to deal with.

How do we know ISIS did it, and not Turkey, or Asad, or some other nation that desperately wants more American intervention.

Are we just supposed to believe some bullcrap?

Well it was poorly put together, and then they showed their smartness with how they tried to use it. Remember Daesh is just like the Democrats. A bunch of Dumb(*)(*)(*)(*)s.

Crude and ancient yes but gas is indiscriminent and can very easily drifts into a populated place.

Maybe some ISISS jerkoffs or their Russian and Syrian friends would like to breathe some mustard gas for 15 minutes or so.

A bunker will protect you from a modern missle but not a chemical attack.

No need to put troops on the ground, just use those satellites which are floating around up there which are supposed to be able to read a car number plate to locate IS strongholds or camps then bring on the bloody napalm - all of which should have been done 5 (*)(*)(*)(*)ing years ago! :wall:

So far it's been like two boxers fighting in a ring but one of them has got one hand tied behind his back.

Those who have access to bunkers that can stop missiles are not the targets of mustard gas and those who are important enough to be in those strong bunkers will have access to gas masks. You have seen what one missile can do to a block of tens of buildings - much more death and destruction than what one mustard gas bomb can do.

Once the gas drifts it gets diluted to an extent where it effectively becomes just an irritation. Only those in the immediate vicinity of the bomb are in danger and that danger will be less than that danger from a modern missile

Do you believe that the west are really serious about destroying Daesh? Remember the time when they controlled Palmyra? ISIS members were out in the open destroying the ancient buildings less than a few minutes away from the Wests jets and ground controlled missiles and could easily have been attacked yet were left to carry on undisturbed for weeks. There were no civilians where those buildings were being destroyed. Only Daesh members

Even if the West had the will to do it it wouldn't - our politicians and too terrified of upsetting the flaky liberals. That's why we won't prevail over global jihad unless there's a radical change of the rules of combat and the intention to get stuck in as if we mean business, but that ain't gonna happen. Meanwhile they're laughing at us.

Bo Peep won't do anything regardless. He is too busy on the phone lecturing the mayor's of Charlotte and Tulsa.

The OP said they fired a shell into an army base Im sure they have bunkers there and you can wear a mask all you want this gas attacks the skin 24h after contact, burns and blisters.

A missle can destroy ten buildings if you have it, most can destroy one or two, gas is carried in the wind to places a bomb will not, did you ever go into a gas tent? did you feel its effects ? no escape.

You are very wrong, tear gas drifting in the wind can make ppl much farther to be affected, seen it myself in my army base when a few idiots shot it at the range because the service was up and they a few left, the wind carried it to our rooms and ppl woke up from it puking. the real lethal stuff is much worse i expect.

Indeed.....lets get back to dropping that NAPALM. Especially on those radical Muslims. Once they melt and have no bodies to make it into their paradise. That's when we will be messing with all they believe in.

Those many Daesh members were out in the open easily observable by satellite with no nearby cover and represented easy targets yet not one attack was carried out on them.

Absolutely correct. They were like sitting ducks in the middle of desert without any cover. So anyone claiming that nothing could've been done about Daesh advance on Palmyra is either ignorant or willfully lying. Their attack was easily preventable.

Words can't describe how ridiculous that statement was.

A British nurse treating soldiers with mustard agent burns during World War I commented:[14]

"They cannot be bandaged or touched. We cover them with a tent of propped-up sheets. Gas burns must be agonizing because usually the other cases do not complain, even with the worst wounds, but gas cases are invariably beyond endurance and they cannot help crying out."

There would be nothing left of a person to bandage after a missile strike

I'm not surprised in the slightest. It's been proven that Hillary Clinton approved of arming Sunni jihadists in Syria with chemical weapons from Libyan stockpiles. I wouldn't be surprised that Libya's mustard gas was used against U.S troops.

Hillary Clinton approved arms sales, including chemical weapons, to terror supporting countries after they paid her off

America's national security for sale? FBI ignores obvious Clinton crimes, targets American patriots instead
