I have noticed over the last few months that the media and the left has been pushing poll data pretty hard, but for some reason, something changed. When I google Trump poll, all I get are results that say how inaccurate online polls are. Why the sudden change of heart?

Well you see when things go the left's way, it's accurate. When they do not, it's inaccurate.

It's one of many reasons the left is so pathetic.

I have no use for online polls...I will wait for the credible ones to come out in the couple of days...

Some are better than others. If it is just a Who won the debate poll with 2 or 3 choices and no controls, the poll results can be manipulated by a party or two. For instance, American Idol limits people to 5 votes per telephone number. Now somebody with 5 phones at their disposal could cast 25 votes, those 25 votes are at least capped. If they did it online, with no control like having to have a registered account with only one account per email or something, a computer might could sit there all night casting votes for whomever they were programmed to cast votes for.

Was just going to mention them. They poll the same group over and over and over again. It could show how sentiments are trending even if they are no necessarily representative of the population as a whole. They tend to be statistical outlyers as do MSNBC polls going the other way.

In fact, daily tracking polls are seldom outliers. That is why campaigns rely on them.
The LA Times/USC Daybreak poll has now corroborated all the post debate snap polls that revealed a clear Trump win.

You seem to have actual scientific polling confused with a poll that anyone can put upon their website which has little to no credibility.

Anyone who thinks that online polls with no controls mean anything is just fooling themselves.

Online polls may very well show the enthusiasm gap that Hillary suffers.

Online polls are inaccurate. If they were at all valid, Ron Paul would have been the Republican nominee in 2008 and 2012.

And when all the other polls come in, you will see that LA Times is an outlying poll with a Trump skew.

If the enthusiasm of supporters is that important, Ron Paul would be President. In talking to real people, here in conservative Pensacola, almost nobody has any enthusiasm for either candidate.

The poll has been very reflective throughout the campaign. Daily trackers usually are.

I don't rely on polls at all. I have coursework in statistics to econometrics and all can be manipulated for the desired outcome.

However, it is worth noting that MANY "online polls" that are in full agreement is something to keep in mind.

When has the left ever promoted online polls? Unless it requires registration, they are the least reliable polls out there.

There's a difference between online polls and scientific polls.

The LA Times has consistently shown Trump doing about 7 points better than the other polls.

Why would registration make an online poll more accurate ?

online polls have never been considered legit.

they are based on user interest, and can easily be manipulated by removing cookies or using a proxy server.

last night I voted 10 times on the same CNBC online poll, using a proxy server.

Because it's much harder for bots to create legitimate user accounts to vote. Whereas one that doesn't require registration, some dude from 4chan or reddit can just use proxies and vote over and over again with a simple script. It's actually really easy.

Nonsense, It showed Clinton well ahead after her convention, and Trump surging after the RP convention.
Look at the graph - the lines have crossed repeatedly throughout the campaign.
