So many claim Trump doesn't want to talk about the issues and wants to take things to the gutter but it's the other way around, it's Hilary that wants to only talk about the birther movement, what Trump said 20 years ago, Trump's tax returns.. she wants to talk about how Trump is a racist, bigot, misogynist. Why? Hilary cannot beat trump on the issues... On the economy, she wants to raise taxes and increase regulations, who wants this? On trade, her husband pushed through NAFTA and she called TPP 'gold standard' once, then flip flopped. She doesn't want to talk about her record as secretary of state and neither does she want to talk about Obama Care, which she supports. Let's go back to the debate...In the first 20 minutes or so, Trump was in command, talking about the issues - bad trade policies, bad tax system, too many regulations.. he was offering solutions which involved improving trade deals, lowering taxes, getting rid of unnecessary regulations. Trump was talking about how corrupt politicians are, how Hilary is an insider that has done little on 30 years, that special interests and lobbyists have too much influence etc... He went after Hilary on TPP and her flip flopping, how she wants to raise taxes etc... When it was about the issues, Trump was DOMINATING and Hilary in trouble. What does Hilary do? she brings up Alicia Machado and things Trump said 20+ years ago; she joins forces with Lester to attack Trump on birther issue, even saying it was racist. She went on and on about Trump's character, past words etc... avoiding the issues that Americans most care about. How interesting? I would advise Trump to stay on point on the issues and deflect, pivot quickly as soon as Hilary tries the Trump is a racist, misogynist and dangerous nonsense... If he can quickly dismiss this and not let Clinton drag things to the gutter, he can beat Hilary in next debates.
Your advice is wise, but that's the point. He can't do it. If he crumbles against Clinton, how on earth will he be able to handle foreign leaders, some of them hostile?
i think he can but takes effort because he hasn't been a politician all his life. As a career politician, skills politicians fine tune are the skill of being robotic, politically correct and scripted. Donald has been businessman where he is used to competition and this entails being loyal to partners but trashing the competition. He has also been in show biz and entertainment where saying controversial things has actually helped him with his brand. when he is attacked on nonsense he always wants to counter but he will need to quickly learn to be more political.
Hillary's record is so pathetic, she can run on it. All she has is name calling like a 4 year old!!!!!
I'm not so sure about that. Kinda hard to teach a 70 yr old dog new tricks. Reagan transitioned into politics very well. So have others; Sonny Bono, Al Franken, et al. I don't think Trump can do it.
