I don't know about your thoughts but that seems pretty high. Despite what Obama has done, that many Russians back up Putin. Also I notice how the Russians posting on this forum appear to also back him up. We here in America do not come close to that figure for Obama.

They still adore Stalin so what is your point?

And do you really trust Russian polls when the government is run by a dictator? What is the right wing's fascination with and admiration of dictatorial governments and dicators anyway? Very bizarre indeed.

that just means 82% of russians are ¤%&#

seriously though, Putin has lead Russia to ruin. Their economy is shiet today and for decades ahead thanks to Putin. I wonder what the polls will show when Russia's rainy day funds dry up, and when Putin will have to make cuts into pensions and welfare. Will ordinary russians still think Putin's military adventures are worth it?

    What a punk.

In 2002, Saddam Hussein received 100 percent of the vote in a referendum whether he, Saddam, deserved another seven year term.

You aren't serious with this thread, are you?

    Westerners hate our leaders.

Putin could get rid of democracy and most Russians would he happy about it. Populations are happier when they are ruled by a strong leader.

Capitalists don't want to admit it but the majority of Germans loved Hitler. They loved him.

Think how hated Hilary Clinton will be when she is installed as President of USA. She will probably be the most hated world leader in all of human history on her first day and it will only get worse from there. The Sanders types will hate her. Conservatives will hate her. Even her base will hate her because she won't be able to please them. Democracy gives us leaders that people hate. And really hate in the strongest sense of the word. I hate Hilary Clinton with all of my might. I hex her.

    i agree with you 100%

China, Russia, several other nations could abandon democracy, set up pure dictatorship police states, and the people woudl rise up and praise their new Fuhrer.

Vast difference in Putin vs Saddam. I realize he died but you must put part of your time studying world leaders.

Kind of like what Democrats do for Putin. Even Hillary gets their adoring love and blessings.

Well, we have worse problems in the USA. We not only spend all revenue, we have to lurch out to global nations and borrow their funds too. And even at that, we are so deep in debt we can't pay the bills. We have far worse payment days ahead and my fear is we will be bankrupt first.

I have come to accept there are dictators and then there are benevolent dictators. For instance were we dumb enough to elect Hillary, it means Obama essentially had 12 years and possibly 16. There is no difference in the foul mouth Hillary and the cleaner talking Obama. What is the big deal keeping those types? They made promises that they broke. Blacks are sold out.

No, they are about the same. On the sliding scale of monstrous despots, Putin and Hussein will be rather close together.

The only question is will Trump get elected so he can join them

I don't buy our left wing propaganda. Sorry.

This is no endorsement for Putin since he is not our president. But I think him and Obama make a good mutt and jeff.

We have worse problems than Russia?

That is defiantly the most ignorant statement of the year. You do know we can physically and virtually go to both countries and see for ourselves, don't you?

Unless you're some troll from the Kremlin, it is inconceivable to me that you could believe something so patently absurd.

    As to great in Russia?

Sparky, i believe Russia is further north than I want to live.

As to Putin, we would be blessed to get a genuine leader. I would not seek him, but at least a leader.
I did not seek your permission to leave CA.

    - - - Updated - - -

Head on over. Look, if you hate rulers, why do you like Obama?

It is bizarre and in fact, IMO, there is an undercurrent of some kind of weirdo male on male submissive (*)(*)(*)(*) going on.

Sorry, Putin is a violent, muredrous dictator who kills and disappears his own citizens. He is a monster.

Saying Putin is a better leader than the American president is the strangest Orwellian twist to this whole Trump nightmare.

Nonsense. You dont understand the situations of the countries. The usa is infinitely better off than russia. Its absurd to claim otherwise. You greatly exagerate the dangers of us debt.

Why anybody would want to be a follower is beyond me. Do you dislike making decisions for yourself? if you want a leader to run your life, you could commit a heinous crime and go to prison for the rest of your life. Those folks that run the prisons are the definition of the tough nose leadership you seem to want:
they would make your food choices for your
decide when and who you can socialize with
determine when you go to sleep and when you wake up
    what you have to wear
when and if you get to go outside for fresh air
