As far as i remember it, the media first thought trump a joke... and republicans voted for him
Then the media were aghast at what trump said AND the fact that many republicans continued to vote for him.... despite all prognostications to the contrary
Then the media became incredulous that all the obvious favorites continued to lose to trump
Never at any time has the media been pro trump
