That's not the way the California DMV operates.

When you walk into a California DMV office you see liberals behind the counter who can't hold down a real job in the private sector so the liberals in Sacramento give them a job to keep them off the welfare rolls.

They don't ask questions. You fill out a drivers licence application form and handed it to the incompetent person behind the counter. They enter the information that's on the form into a computer and then they open their mouths and say "give me some money" then they point to where to go to get your selfie taken and that's how it works. They don't ask questions.

The liberals already know that the ACLU would go bananas if a non citizen was asked if he or she was a citizen. Sheriff Joe Arpaio tried it and Obama's DOJ want's to throw Sheriff Joe in prison.

I agree with vino909: the idea has merit in the abstract, but there are way too many weenies out there to make implementation practical.

It is amazing to see how the left has not only managed to stack the deck, but somehow figured out how to make a good chunk of American voters believe it doesn't matter in the least. And those within the government, left and right, don't seem the least bit concerned.

As to the topic of this thread, Hillary's activities are not surprising. What's surprising is the abject apathy coming from folks who you'd think would care. Surprising, and more than a little concerning...

Well, both systems have their good points and failings - but at least we don't have super-delegates. Voting is as inclusive in Canada as it is in the 'States, BTW.

Also, the amount of cash one can invest in a party is limited, leaving more place for actual democracy.

The State of Massachusetts is doing exactly the same thing. There is NO CHECK at all when getting a drivers license. No proof of citizenship required. They are now plastering the airwaves reminding people that all they need to register to vote is a valid drivers license. This is open voter fraud. These people are all traitors. Every state needs to enact voter IDs laws. This is unbelievable. Democrats are traitors for allowing this.

People don't see value anymore in the right to vote. Most people I know would gladly live without it (or with any political subject for that matter). When I talk political matters with these people - something that is often frowned upon - I am always in wilderment in the face of their crass ignorance.

Well, turns out that sometimes they vote - and as a result they get exactly the governments they deserve.

A voting card would encourage people to keep a closer eyes on these matters that affect us all, and make them realize that democracy isn't a given, or without costs.

You can also do it when you get a license. When they ask you if you are a citizen all you have to say is yes and you can then vote.
