    Of course they deny it. Who advertises the location of their subs?

    Here's something from the Saker, who is very good with military analysis. Take it however you wish.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The rest of the Russian naval task force around the Kuznetsov
    One big name immediately stands out: the Heavy Nuclear Rocket Cruiser Peter the Great. This is one heavy beast and currently the most heavily armed ship on the planet. I won’t even go into all the details here, check this article for a list of armamentsif you are interested, suffice to say here that this battlecruiser can do everything: anti-air, anti-ship, anti-submarine. She is packed with top of the line sensors and advanced communications. Being the flagship of the Northern Fleet she is also the de-facto flagship of the entire Russian Navy. Last,but not least, the Peter the Great carries a formidable array of 20 Granit anti-ship missile. Please note that the combined firepower of Granit anti-ship missiles of the Kuznetsov and Peter the Great is 12+20 for a total of 32. I will explain why this important below.
    The rest of the task force is composed of two Large Antisubmarine Ships (destroyers in western terminology), the Vice-Admiral Kulakov and the Severomorsk, and a number of support vessels. The Kulakov and the Severomorsk are based on the Udaloy design and are modern and all-around capable combat ships. All these ships will soon be merged into one force, including two small missile ships (corvettes in western terminology)which carry the famous Kalibr cruise missiles and which specialize in attacking surface ships. Finally, though this will not be advertised, I believe that this task force will include at least two Akula-class nuclear attack submarines,one Oscar-II cruise missile submarine (armed with another 12 Granit cruise missiles) and several Kilo-class diesel-electric submarines.
    It would be nice to see Putin put an end to the savagery in Syria. I think he can do it before Trump takes the White House. Then together as a team, Putin and Trump can restore peace and order in the middle east. The refugees can go home, and Russia and the United States can begin making trade and economic treaty's that will benefit both nations. I think Putin and Trump working together can accomplish anything.
    There is no question under Putin; the Russian Navy has been restored to a World-Class force to be respected. The Russian Navy can easily take their place beside the American, and Chinese Navy and be recognized once again as a super power Navy on the high seas.
    Time for America to return to the Monroe Doctrine.
    Let the "Old World" manage itself.
    In the era of MAD, missiles, etc. why does America maintain a military deployment more like 1950 technology?
    We can fly troops and equipment halfway around the globe more efficiently than maintaining a presence based on costly Cold War thinking.
    Osama bin Laden is still dead.
    America should not be deployed with any advisors, etc. in Afghanistan, Iraq, etc.
    It is so obvious America has a problem of Un-Deploying since Vietnam.
    Who Profits!
    Someone must, it isn't all for the Lord and country.
    Let Russia have Syria.
    Let Iran, Russia and China have Iraq.
    Why should any American care?
    Type slowly for me so I might comprende more better. Gracias.
    True but the mastermind of 9-11-01 is still alive !!! Why ???
    Because Obama want's him alive ???
    It wasn't until after Khalid Sheikh Mohammed ( KSM ) was captured in 2003 during the Bush administration that we would learn that Osama bin Laden ( OBL) wasn't the mastermind of 9-11 but it was KSM who was.
    It was KSM who came up with the plan, picked the targets, over saw the training of the hijackers and was in command and control of the 9-11 attacks, not OBL.
    OBL just signed off on the attack and financed it. In fact OBL opposed crashing aircraft into the WTC and wanted to just hijack the aircraft and then blow them up in the air or crash them into the ground in middle America. But KSM convinced OBL to go with his plan.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khalid_Sheikh_Mohammed
    By 2003 OBL was forced into early retirement and we had the most dangerous terrorist ( KSM ) in custody at Gitmo.
    And why hasn't Congress had a debate and either authorized, or voted down authorization of whatever in the Hell the Administration is trying to accomplish in Syria through Military Force? Congress has got to get ahold of this Administration before they back us into a war with a major power and then say "Did I do that?"
    I wrote my Congressman and urged him to draw up and submit a bill authorizing the commitment of Military Force in Syria, and then if the debate determined it was NOT in the interests of the United States to commit Military Force into Syria, TO VOTE THE BILL DOWN. Then we would simply have to wait and see if the Executive Branch had the Guts to step over the Clearly Stated Will of Congress, and my guess is that the President would not.
    But Congress diddles around and says "my hands are tied!" when they most certainly are not.
    And Crazy Hillary The Corrupt War Monger wants a No-Fly Zone established by US forces in Syria, even though Neither ISIS nor the Syrian rebels possess any aircraft to shoot down.
    Further, there is already a No-Fly Zone in Syria — One Russia Created.
    ~
    The first thing the Russians did was to bring in and install a massive deployment of the sophisticated and integrated anti-aircraft weapons system called the S-300 at their $3 billion naval base in Tartus The S-300 is, by the way, the same system they are selling and delivering to the Iranians. That move took place on October 3rd. The new S-300 deployment augmented the S-200s that were already in place throughout Syria.
    Next, the Russians added a series of very effective short range surface-to-air missiles. The PantsirS1 and the Buk missiles are part of the naval weapons on Russia’s guided missile cruisers which sit anchored off the Syrian coast.
    Now, add to that the Integrated Defense System which links all these systems plus others like the most advanced and newest of all missiles, the S-400 missile system which has a range of 350 miles and, voila, a Russian-operated no-fly zone is born.
    Yes, I suggest you do. America imported 25% of its oil in 2015. Of that roughly 40% comes from Canada, 31% from OPEC and 16% from the Persian Gulf.
    Anyway you slice it, its about OIL as it remains the foundation of our civilizations energy production. An inescapable strategic fact.
    Syria is in an ENORMOUSLY strategic geographic position for Russia. Meanwhile it is the place of religious ideological confluence for the Shia, Sunni, Takfiri, moderate/secular forces, with some serious ages old ethnic antipathy to add just the right amount of spice. The perfect clustermuck formula. AND it threatens the disposition of the oil fields surrounding Syria.
    Just the kind of war that whilst it threatens everyone, might just result in an Islamic reformation and the beginning of the end of the medieval social doctrines. Afterall, its not the believer, its the ideology that is the real enemy.
    So What?
    Is it worth deployments and warism as opposed to "intelligence" activities?
    Intelligence activities seem to pay off as long as an Attorney General doesn't put up a "wall" preventing intelligence organizations from sharing intelligence and connecting the dots.
    It's all can be found in the 9-11 Commission Report.
    You want to say that it is Putin staged a coup in the Ukraine? And the civil war in Syria? Or maybe it's Putin attacked Iraq? :roflol::roflol::roflol:
