Oh I have not qualms about admitting my bigotry. I am certainly not surprised you can't tell the difference between a bigot and a racist. (hint: all racists are bigots but not all bigots are racist).

I do hate neo-nazis, white nationalists/supremacists, religious fanatics of all stripes, commies,holocaust deniers, and yer garden variety ignorant bigots. ALL of those are ideological based. the only non ideological bigotry I have is for pedophiles and for some reason its my most intense - I believe in removing them from the gene pool as expeditiously as possible.

It's not a crime to be a poll watcher or to monitor/observe the process. In fact, it's being civic minded. Anyone who has a problem with THAT is the problem. However, if they do try to intimidate or influence voters at the polls, they'll get arrested for sure, because it's against the law. There's also the chance that they get their a**es kicked if they get out of line with the wrong hombres.

By that you mean you do not want poll workers casting huge numbers of fraudulent votes to be intimidated by being watched committing such crimes.

 

Then they'd better modify their behavior pronto unless they want to observe the election process from behind bars or a hospital bed. Setting aside the possibility of things going wrong, I think it's healthy in the long run when people are this involved. It tends to keep things honest, imo. And when they see that there is no cheating, it puts them at ease, as well as imbuing them with a sense of wonder and thankfulness that this nation can change leaders peacefully. Have faith. People can change for the better.
