Oh I think he will win a second term easily. He's a populist and populists are generally popular and very hard to beat.

No one who has an aware intellect would ever give such a reason as to why trump won. LOL. The reason he won is so obvious that it would insult the intelligence of the intelligent to even voice it again.

If trump only does two things, address open borders, and address the hollowing out of the working and middle class economy by the free trade scheme, he will be elected in a landslide. Working americans are tired of being devastated in order to max out elite profits. If trump forces these living wages jobs back to America and forget the insanity of trying to compete against slave labor, he will have done more to help americans since FDR. And if not for term limits, he would be elected to 4 or 5 terms.

I don't see one, and that is a problem for democrats... Elizabeth Warren is too far left and high strung, and Bernie/Hillary/Biden are too old. But then again, I would not have been saying Obama 4 years before his running.

I am all for results, if Trump really delivers, then he deserves a second term. The problem I see is that republican policies that he adheres to, tax cuts and military spending, never produce results other than increasing deficits.

    Trump will never run

If he runs he will never win any primaries

Even if he wins any primaries, he will not get the nomination.

Even if he gets the nomination he will not win the Presidency.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> They were here.
Even if he wins the Presidency, he will not be able to get any of his plans implemented.

Even if he gets his plans implemented he will not get re-elected
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> They have progressed to here!

Even if he gets re-elected he will not be remembered as a Great President

Two candidates that could potentially send Trump packing in 2020 are Corey Booker, and Julian Castro. Hell, Trump could barely defeat a scandal ridden establishment hack like Hillary. After four years of embarrassing himself, all the Dems need to do is offer a viable candidate, and they should have no problem kicking the orange man out of the white house.

Yeah, but he'll have to defend his record the second time around. And if his first four years aren't up to par...he could easily be fired in 2020.

Don't know who you are quoting, but it isn't me. I am more of a Harry Menckan type of believer:

“No one in this world, so far as I know — — has ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the great masses of the plain people. Nor has anyone ever lost public office thereby.”

    So time will tell.

So do you want to bet if Trump gets a second term?

I think the only reasonable way to reply to all of this overly-emotional baggage on both sides is just to say: Only time will tell.

    I'll take that bet.

I bet that Trump is not only reelected, but that his success as president will be so great that the Republicans will hold the White House for five straight presidential elections.

Will also be a point if he will fulfill the complete 4 years at least ... would be not the first president who faces impeachment or has a (political) deadly ... "accident" or "assassination"!

And the backlash of Obama led to Trump! The backlash of Trump will lead to another republican! But that's only if Trump receives the transition of power. Martial law could be declared before than. We will see. If these protests turn violent and in great numbers, martial law will be declared, and Obama will hold power for the duration.

Send in the National Guard! We are a country of laws, spoiled brat lefties have been instructed by the George soros, moveon.org. and the rest of the Democrat elites. After hearing for months that Republicans want to start a race war ,just like we seen through all the Trump bashing lies we see through this too.

If the Dems take the position that McConell and the GOP took in 2008 and systematically obstruct in order to try to make the newly elected President fail, they will be exposed as crybabies and losers. Trump is not an ideologue. The Democrats should leave their partisan hats and coats at the door and try to compromise and work with the newly elected President on any reasonable legislation he proposes. Both parties should learn to work together to enact positive changes instead of playing little games to jockey for position regarding the next election.

If you take the time to notice, the Republican party is quickly coalescing around Trump. Like him or not, they don't have a choice if they want their agenda passed. I suspect they'll be surprised at having a President who has the desire to get things done.

To my knowledge Trump has never been under criminal investigation by the FBI. He's never been proven to have lied to Congress under oath, and he's never lied to the American people at the slimiest levels imaginable. These are the levels of corruption that should have preclude Hillary from even running for President, but surprisingly she almost ran the table.

Whatever his sins in business, it's now a clean slate and we'll see what happens. It's not going to be any worse than what we've endured over the past 8 years.

Fat chance of that happening. These protests are silly and will fizzle out in a few days. Trump will transition peacefully into the White House and then the GOP has the ball in their court. If Trump and his GOP cohorts can deliver as promised, he will be able to win easily in 2020, (if he even wants the aggravation). If he and his cohorts worsen our situation through his own follies, he will lose. Simple as that.

Actually I really do believe that the Republicans are going to hold the White House for the next 20 years.
