    I am applauding it.

As a voter for Trump myself, I am thoroughly convinced that a Trump presidency will slap Americans into thinking again, pushing aside soundbite simplifications of real world issues. A sharp kick to the intellectual testicles of our psyche.

Plus it gives possibly 4 or even 8 years of constant nonsense from Trump upon which to argue the point here, on the forum.

That's great. It will make the next 4 years a lot easier to deal with . I don't think every left-wing Democrat is going to have as easy of a time.

I voted for Hillary but wasn't invested in her. I'm over it.

I was just hoping she could forestall another long national nightmare. That is not to be. It has begun.

Good post. Lets be real... Nobody really wanted Clinton in office, it isn't like those voting against Trump were voting for her. Let's try and be objective going forward and hope Trumps strengths benefit us all.

Honestly ... the same is said in matter of Trump. Those voting for Trump were mostly not really voting for him etc. but more against Clinton ...

I am over it already, I just hope republicans in congress will work again for the American people for a change... earn that paycheck

I am interested to see this new TrumpCare that will replace ObamaCare, Republicans will now own healthcare, they either need to fix or replace it

Trump need to address foreign imports and foreign outsourcing... that is what he ran on, if he does that successfully, I will be happy

I was voting against Clinton, no doubt, but for national security, against obamacare which is failing under its own weight, and for a balanced supreme court. Clinton is a corrupt figure, with a record of failure on matters that matter. I am not generally for either side having the house senate and white house... But in this instance trump is disliked enough in congress that I think it will be ok for a while.

For sure is Clinton a corrupt figure, same as Trump is an egomaniac populist with no real clue ... but if the USA is so foolish and kicks out all the rest, so that only choice between these both worst candidates is over, then you have only the choice between plague and cholera and at least you have to take this stupidity that one of these 2 diseases with legs had won as reality!

Personally I have 0.00 understanding for the hate of the US people against Obamacare and that it is marked to be the evil. The US health system was and is only a disaster and against the casual people and as more as you are one of the - in financial aspect - poorer one, as more you are tortured by this health system!
I will not tell that Obamacare would have been the wonder weapon to solve this BS of health system, but Obamacare had from the beginning on no chance to be really implemented when Republicans blocked it directly. I tis the usual crap of US mentally that anything which is social, becomes automatic socialistic the evil. One of the worst insulting words in the US was and is if you blame someone to be socialist, isn't it?

It was a deselection of the political establishment, which is still perceived by many as a corrupt swamp, which does not care about the worries and problems of a not (!) small part of the population. The gap between this political establishment and the part of the population has been increasing in recent years and it is quite frank to say:

This endangers democracy at its base!

It opens egomaniac, charismatic populists like Trump and many others (Orban in hungary, Le Pen in France, Farrage and Johnson in the UK ...) the gates, because they can sell themselves as the savior of the small man, without this arrogance of these the people of the establishment, to which they never really belong!
But is this the fault of the population now? No, of course not! But that is exactly what the political establishment now and again wants to tell the people of their know-it-all behavior! Hello? Who is the people and the basis of democracy to choose you?

You of the establishment wants to be elected as a representative of the people, then also represent the people and not just your interests and above all:
Stop to play the teacher and educate the people according to your views ... and listen to them prescribe what they have to say and what they think. You have to learn and to submit to what the people want ... and not vice versa!!!

    However ...
These populists, who are elected, have never achieved any improvement, and they do not keep their election promises and slogans as much as the people of the establishment! They are (perhaps) just better, to hide their fails and to sell these better with their charisma!
What is interesting, however, is that many voters of Trump are saying that exactly the hated establishment (by the Republicans) is already stopping Donald Trump with bad things ... Is not that ridiculous in the end?

Does anyone of you believe in this forum who voted for Trump that he is really building a wall against Mexico, which will also pay Mexico itself?
Certainly not! Of course the illegal immigration via Mexico is a problem and of course the Mexican economy is dependent on the US ... but it is not a one-way street! If you want to get rid of Mexico completely and consider it like Trump as the evil, the US economy will have a problem and it will kill jobs in the USA!
Since it is not only Mexico, but the whole of Central and South America at the end, the USA is creating new enemies here, and there are other powers who would like to be more friends with them, if the US treats them so hostile!

Yep. It's done, and good riddance to an awful and long campaign.

Let's try to put our best foot forward. The country deserves it. Let's give the man a chance to prove us vocal critics wrong. I wish him the best.

I will be over this election in a few more days. There are still many celebration parties to attend, and of course, the bon voyage party for those very important Hollywood Celebrity like Cher, Madonna, Miley, Deniro, embarking on the Love Boat Cruise to other countries where they will feel more comfortable.

Corruption is the antithesis of liberty. That you would put such on par with "egomaniac" is laughable. That is like putting a murderer up against someone who drinks too much and saying "eh... they both have flaws". I will tell you a secret, every world leader has a bit of an ego.

I have neither the time nor inclination to explain the US health care system to you this morning. I understand that you think you get it, and we don't... maybe later. Have to get my kids to school.

Of course is corruption a worst thing … never denied it. But you really think that this egomaniac is solving this? Do you really believe his BS blabbering of promises and slogans? Come on… that can’t be truth!

It is interesting and total ridiculous that not only few of these Trump voters reason their voting with to stop Hillary only and they trust on the Republican majorities in both chambers to have trump enough on leash to create any disaster. Ehm … hello?
Right this corrupt swamp of political establishment in which not only Democrats re milling around but same way Republicans is suddenly someone you trust on to stop if necessary Trump? :omg:

    Then you either:

    A. are not paying the higher premiums,
    or
    B. have enough money that it doesn't affect you

Really? There is a system running in many other countries which works ... not to say perfect of course ... but to US mentally it will have no chance to implement as I know.
At least must be the goal that everyone in the USA must have a full access to healthcare with all things. No matter if having annually salaries of 10,000 USD or 100,000 USD, if you are ill, sick, hurt or whatever, you must have full access and this must be financed at least. I think here you agree?

I dont want Trump stopped. I want the establishment republican and democrats stopped. The only areas they differ is social issues. At their core, they want to grow government and play with our money in order to justify and keep them in their position. They serve government, not the people, which is to say they serve themselves.

You don't understand what I oppose because you view the world from a left right paradigm. Trump is an agent of chaos in a system built to oppress under the guise of order. There is no evolution without chaos. I embrace it.

But chaos can easy cause disaster and there potential disasters with Trump, which are a nightmare for everyone.

If Trump wants really to cancel several global and local trade agreements or hindering to come, it will hurt US economy too and cost many Americans further jobs too. A behavior of an elephant n China Shop is the worst what can be done here.

Apart from the fact that Trump did this topic not really touch too ...
It is complained that many jobs from the US are outsourced to other countries for reasons of cost, where people get less than half of the wages for the same work. How should this be stopped and prevented? What does Trump want to do, because it costs the Americans damn many jobs?
If somebody actually believes that his product from Apple is a "Made in USA", he lives in a fairy tale world! No, this is all produced in China, where the workers earn 400 USD a month for their work (6 days / week, 12 hours / day) a month! The prices in the store are as if they are produced in the USA, right?
How shall this be prevented and the jobs brought back or hold in the USA with "America First"?

Honestly, I have LEARNT a lot from Trump. You don't need to be intelligent or an expert in politics. Just behave like a bully, destroy your opponents (from Hillary to Obama, from Rubio to Cruz) with relentless wild accusations and derision until you win. After you win you change attitude and request love and unity for the sake of America. In other words, we have elected a GAMBLER .How can I be proud of him? Waiting only for his impeachment that would redeem his behavior.

We are living the American nightmare. I believe that Trump has the capacity to right the ship.

I give a (*)(*)(*)(*) if your useless walmart (*)(*)(*)(*) costs twice as much. I buy American, and I havent descended into ruin.

Problem is that they cannot fulfill their promises if they keep importing 3rd worlders. THAT is what destroys them. Look at England. They now deny older people surgeries like hip replacement b/c they cannot afford it due to the additional burden of 3rd world invasion.

NO, we do NOT have to "get over it".

The decent people of this country who believe in rights for everyone, not just white males, do not have to accept this crap.

We have to fight it . Deplore it. ........we do not have to "get over" the Great Farting Orange T. Rex.

Trump is not my president. I did not vote for him, or the republicans in majority in the House and Senate. The government failure that is going to occur in the next 4 years is going to be catastrophic. I do not own it, and take no responsibility for it. I am sure that by now, someone on Amazon is already selling a Bumper sticker reading, "Don't blame me. I didn't vote for him". This will be the first bumper sticker that I have had on my car since "Impeach Nixon".
