What is also telling is the "Others" category.; votes NOT given to either democrats or republicans.

I bet you and anyone else the new electoral raw-vote record has been set only because of the number of illegals who were allowed to cast their votes in certain states. We're talking millions of votes which aren't suppose to be counted yet they're added to democrats. You know it, everyone else informed knows it. Democrats and the media under their control created hysteria within illegal communities in the USA.

I think a bigger impact is the voter turnout in extremely blue or red states. If your state is already going for whoever the Democrat or Republican is, then your vote doesn't really matter. California in 2012 had over 4 million votes for Romney, but had only 2 million plus for Trump. Since there was no chance that California was going to go for Trump, why vote? Particularly if you're just sort of "eh" about him. If our elections were based on the popular vote, it would radically alter who turns out to vote. But yeah, illegals probably got in as many as a million or so votes in nationwide, however in states like California, a million extra illegal Hillary votes didn't get her any closer to the White House.

Hillary "won" the popular vote with 52.27% of those that voted voting against her.
Her "margin" of "victory" is less that 1/5th of those votes cast for 3rd party candidates.

All of this is rendered moot by her 56.9% - 43.1% loss in the electoral college.

we also had a major democratic block defect in the low income groups. Trump was +16 among the very poor as compared to romney and -9 with the higher incomes as compared to mittens.

Actually, the request makes a lot of sense and if your argument had hands and feet, which it of course does not, you would have been able to provide links. It's one thing to have your own reality if you wish, but it's another thing to have your own facts. See how that works? So, since you made such an utterly ridiculous and unsubstantiated claim that cannot be backed up be even one state SOS, not even one, feel free to pony up your evidence, you know, like a real adult would. Or you can feel free to admit that it's just hooey, which is exactly what it is.

The last presidential elections have seen a low voter turnout. We shouldn't count votes without comparing them with the population.

And the missing votes have been well more on the Democratic side than on the Republican side.

If you "know" of illegals who allegedly voted then you should provide that information to the relevant authorities to investigate.

Let us all know how that turns out, 'mkay?

The title to your posting is, unfortunately, a blatant lie and must be called out as such. Currently at 133,102,456 votes counted, the election of 2016 has surpassed the election of 2008 in terms of votes cast, which is exactly the point of my OP. I mentioned NOTHING about voter turnout rate. That is an issue for another posting but only makes sense when the end-statistics are etched into stone. Furthermore, your "statistics" about registered voters is also a statistical lie, and a big one at that. Roughly 205 million US-Americans were registered to vote. Basing a statistics on "eligible" voters is complete hooey, for if they do not register, then they cannot be in the statistic. Surely you as an (I hope) adult can see how this works. That would be like saying that the soccer team of smallville USA is only 0.5% of the town, because there are 500 boys there, but only 20 actually signed up. But not all boys play soccer nor will they sign up. In other words, what you quote is absolutely worthless in terms of statistics. So, better luck to you next time and we can only hope that next time, you can learn to be honest, you know, like adults are supposed to be.

    Thanks.

Without California, specifically Los Angeles county, Trump wins the popular vote.

Democrats complain that the reason Hillary lost was low voter turn out. They missed the fact that many Democrats voted for Trump. Vigo County in Indiana has voted for the president that was elected for quite some time. Vigo County voted for Obama twice but voted for Trump this time. Democrats lost a lot of their union blue wall.

    You're welcome ...

But pay attention that similar statistics have to be related to the total number of potential electors [citizens having the right to vote].

From a statistical perspective, regarding the effective vote, to register to vote without voting and not to register are the same thing.

A part that for Italians soccer is probably more important that to vote ... your example about soccer is not that correct: you should consider ONLY that part of population who could potentially play soccer. Then you should evaluate the potential interest that soccer can switch on [how important is soccer for the life of the community? I guess it's well less important than to elect a President, so that the potential interest of a Presidential election is global, while the potential interest of soccer is well far from being global].

    Next?
