Another day, another trump Twitter rage,

This time directed at CNN, apparently for reporting in his claims that there was massive voter fraud.

I find this a bit disconcerting for a couple of reasons.

First, the president elect is ripping into a news agency for, well, reporting on what he said. Were they incorrect somehow in saying that Trump made claims that have no basis in reality?

And again , this is the president elect of the United States raging via social media at a news agency that he apparently does not like. Are these nonstop rages indicative of a man who has a disposition and intellect necessary to be president?

    http://money.cnn.com/2016/11/29/media/donald-trump-twitter-cnn/index.html

President-elect Donald Trump fired off a series of tweets late Monday and early Tuesday criticizing CNN for reporting that his claims about voter fraud are baseless -- which they are.

Shortly after 9 p.m., Trump began retweeting supporters who had criticized CNN's Jeff Zeleny because he accurately reported that there was no evidence -- nor has the transition team provided any-- to support Trump's claim that millions of fraudulent votes had been cast for Hillary Clinton.

"[W]hat PROOF do u have DonaldTrump did not suffer from millions of FRAUD votes? Journalist? Do your job!" read the first post that Trump retweeted. "Just another generic CNN part time wannabe journalist!," read the second.

"@CNN still doesn't get it," Trump added. "They will never learn!"

One post Trump retweeted came from a Twitter user whose bio says he's 16, who, like the others, called Zeleny a "bad reporter" because he did not have evidence that Trump was not a victim of voter fraud, a double-negative reasoning used to defend many conspiracy theories.

Finally, Trump issued his own attack on CNN: ".@CNN is so embarrassed by their total (100%) support of Hillary Clinton, and yet her loss in a landslide, that they don't know what to do," he wrote.

He continued the attack in a tweet just after 6:30 a.m. Tuesday: "I thought that @CNN would get better after they failed so badly in their support of Hillary Clinton however, since election, they are worse!"

A CNN spokesperson declined to comment. Zeleny responded to Trump with a request for examples of the fraud.

"@realDonaldTrump Good evening! Have been looking for examples of voter fraud. Please send our way. Full-time journalist here still working," Zeleny wrote on Twitter.

Trump's initial claim that Clinton's lead in the popular vote was a result of "millions of people who voted illegally" had been promoted on conspiracy theory sites like Infowars.com before Trump himself tweeted it on Sunday. The claim appears to have been first promoted by Gregg Phillips, a conservative activist with more than 26,000 Twitter followers.

Since Trump tweeted the conspiracy theory, CNN anchors and reporters have repeatedly stressed that there is no evidence to support the claim. Online, CNN's headline read, "Trump falsely claims 'millions of people who voted illegally' cost him popular vote."

Election officials in California and Virginia have also called Trump's claims "unsubstantiated" and "unfounded."

Trump's penchant for peddling conspiracy theories and attacking critics and media organizations on Twitter is unprecedented, and has been cause for concern among journalists and media watchdogs who are wrestling with how to cover a president who is a leading source of misinformati

There is no conspiracy, there are laws on the books, that prevent state officials to verify eligibility to vote.
Yes, those laws have not been violated, so Trump has legitimate claim.
If someone wants to disprove Trump, the facts should be presented, that all people voted were eligible.

fortunately for those living in reality and legally, it is up to trump to prove his assertion which to date, has an iota of evidence, other than obscure rw news article that merely suggests fraud.

Lol ... Donald must have had a very boring late evening and night when he waste still time on this topic.
Still ongoing comedy with this new coming president ... will be interesting later what he tweets about other country leaders in public or if his staff will have the balls to forbid him to use Twitter further then. :roflol:

The idea that nobody here in the state of California participated in this election is simply laughable.

Yeah, prove that illegals and dead people are voting in droves, because until you do, there's no problem. This is completely irrational.

I say again: the idea that nobody here in the state of California participated in this election is simply laughable. The only question is how many invalid votes were cast.

Trumps statement is a reaction to the constant clamoring from left wing media that Hillary won the popular vote. Which is not only a meaningless claim but is made to undermine his victory.
    Those are facts.
So rather than react with the million illegal vote tweet, Trump should point out that the two million vote difference in the popular vote is because moonbats in California and Massachusetts that would have voted for Hillary even if she would have robbed a bank and shot a teller the day before the election. So in essence those votes don't count anyway. theres your two million difference right there.

I realize that nothing short of incontrovertible proof will do for you, but I thought I'd offer a few facts that might just bolster this "ridiculous" conspiracy theory:

    (1) California has the largest number of illegal immigrants in the United States (an estimated 2.4 million unauthorized immigrants making up about 6.3 percent of the state’s total population); this is according to the Pew Research Center...

    (2) California leans heavily Democratic. If there is going to be an issue with the way voting takes place in the large cities here in California, my money would be on those "issues" favoring the Democrats.

    (3) Tweets coming from folks like Gregg Phillips claim that there is evidence of "more than three million votes [being] cast by non-citizens." While these claims are currently unsubstantiated, Phillips has said that he is still working on analyzing the data and verifying its accuracy; we do not yet know what the data is, where it comes from, or what methodology was used to obtain it, but if/when such information is provided, it should be considered.

    (4) When asked to show evidence of problems existing (during a recent media call), Trump advisor Jason Miller referred to the 2014 Washington Post study showing that more than 14 percent of non-citizens in both the 2008 and 2010 elections indicated they were registered to vote, and the Pew Research study saying that approximately 24 million, or one out of every eight, voter registrations in the United States are no longer valid or significantly inaccurate. Miller went on to say that the same Pew Research study notes that 2.5 million people have registrations in more than one state. These are studies and examples of where there have been issues of both voter fraud and illegal immigrants voting.

Why do you waste so much time on a fake news source like CNN? Everyone knows it's DNC approved propaganda

Greg Phillips's is a fraud. He's claiming to have reviewed 180 million voting registrations to have come up with this. When questioned by people he's silent, other than one reply that any day now he's gonna file something in court.

Greg Phillips falls into the same category as O'Keefe and his fake videos.

It's been amazing to see so many right wingers get played by fake news sites, the guys who wrote the fake news copping to doing so, because they get more money from right wing lies than left wing because liberals tend to research things a bit instead of just reposting a link that they saw 5 minutes ago that Clinton killed 2 FBI agents.

It comes down to, Right Wing Conspirators are more gullible than the liberals they castigate for believing the evil main stream media.

Fake videos? So O'Keefe forced those Democrats to admit their crimes on video? How did he do that?

If we're talking Acorn, it was proven that his videos were doctored and spliced, with fictional sections added. How about the fact he tried to lure a CNN news woman into one? Or maybe when he broke into and attempted to tap the lines of a senator? Really classy stand up guy who breaks the law every time he turns around.

Voter rolls are periodically purged because people do move to another state, or they die.

CNN is not a credible news source for anything about Trump.

CNN is useful for stories about natural disasters and such, but nothing related to politics.

They are worried about their first amendment rights

It is not too big a step from this to civil law suits against journalists and then to imprisonment for "treason" What is concerning is that there would be a section of the right who would cheer if this were to occur simply because they have demonstrated over and over a complete intolerance for thinking at odds with their own

    - - - Updated - - -

    Sheuld they then be silenced?

The fact here is that this is not acceptable behaviour for the leader of a country. Especially not an industrialised nation like America. Now if this were one of the African despots I could understand but the president of the United States?

Shakes head - how many times have I been told that America leads the world? This is not the behaviour I would like to see in a world leader

Especially not one in charge of a nuclear arsenal
