The amount of bull(*)(*)(*)(*) you must hear daily to not even flinch at this is astonishing. Things are looking bright for the US.

You can believe in the bible and still be an outstanding individual. Not a big deal.

America is on the upswing, if you haven't noticed from across the pond. We don't intend to be like your nations.

Where does the Bible say the age of the Earth?
The Catholic Church has left that to scientists.
Only American weirdos claim the earth is 5500 years old.

Well... Let me thank you in advance for all the scientists we will be getting in Europe with the new administration.

If by that you mean ruled by people who are at least nominally sane I must agree.

To be fair, the Biblical figure is (I think) around 6400 years, so if Scaramucci was referring to that he was wrong and most Bible Nu...er scholars are careful to be right on that figure. 5500 years is, however, pretty much in agreement with the latest figures on the age of Historically known civilizations, (thought that estimate if really always in dispute) so he might have been referring to that.

At least that's what I will be telling myself to help me sleep at night.

Who is this guy? And does believing in the Earth being whatever years of age affect his job performance at all?

If it does, it matters. If it doesn't, who cares. It just shows how intolerant the left has become.

It affects everyone's job performance if he's a religious fanatic who thinks his belief in a book by Bronze Age shamans should supersede reality

And didn't Freddie Mercury do a song on him?

Going by his career, he is more accomplished than anyone on this thread. That's for sure.

    - - - Updated - - -

Did you even watch the whole thing? He was sensible outside the age part, and made it clear he's no scientist.

    Wow, you guys.

    He makes no sense whatsoever.
He claims not to be a scientist after spending the interview saying AGW isn't real and that the earth or humans are 5500 years old.

What is it with Americans and their "I will criticise scientific consensus and all the scientists, but I am not a scientist" schtick? It's hilariously stupid.
I don't talk to people dissing something and then finish by saying "but I don't know (*)(*)(*)(*) about it".

He refers to the "flat earth" theory and just reasons that its okay to be skeptical.

    I agree.

Told my mom once, that I almost came out of, "your anus." Being a child, she sent me to my room for a couple hours.

Except for the fact that basically no one believed the Earth was flat unless you go all the way back to some of the ancient Greeks. Yet another Protestant myth created to discredit Catholics. For some reason that memo as many others never reached the US.

So no... It simply shows a complete lack of historical knowledge and reinforces that he is an ignorant schmuck.

Yes, it's true. We are very intolerant of attempts to spread stupidity, insanity, antisocial, sociopathic, and idiotic thinking.

Question is, if this dude was a muslim, would they be going after islam as fervently? Or would they hesitate because they value their heads being attached to their bodies? Or would they just give a muslim a pass because they are a minority(at least so far) here in the US? And it doesn't matter what kind of minority you are, as long as you are in the minority? You know, like, illegal aliens, non white skin tones, gender incoherent.....but it is probably because they value their heads or do not want to see a flash of light but never hear the sound of the bomb that sent them to their ancestors. In other words cowards. They know they can make fun of a Christian all they want and not have to fear losing their lives. So, bully them. They do seem to get gratification from it, right? I used to think the people on the right were nasty, but the left has left them behind in the dust. I think the left has lost its moral center. Wilkileaks revealed it.

    Unbelievable.

Face it, if the guy thinks the planet is just 5,500 years old ... despite massive evidence to the contrary ... then no amount of evidence or proof will ever convince him that climate change is real.

Which, of course, makes him a perfect spokesmouth for republicans.

It's really the thing I despise most about right-wingers ... they never seem to learn from facts, logic, and evidence...

American Exceptionalism is founded on entrepreneurship, free markets, and free thought. Something the left is trying to stifle.

You can bet that any Muslim who would be stupid enough to say something like this would get a thread from me.
I think this guy like many American Christians are hurting Christianity with their stupidity and complete ignorance of everything.

Catholics are not this stupid... Stupid on some subjects for sure... But not this (*)(*)(*)(*)ing stupid.
