Trump's sons involved in interviewing, vetting Cabinet candidates

The fact that Trump has not shown me that he understands that running a country is not like running a company and what makes it worse is that his sons are in his solely owned business. That makes the conflict of interest potential and very likely a reality that much more dangerous.

 

To be fair Trump is under no obligation try to convince you when its a lost cause.

1 - As long as what Trump is doing is not illegal, there is no legal recourse to stop that.

2 - While I understand and sympathize with those concerned about the appearance of a "conflict of interest", it is being done in the open and trust between family members is an old fashion virtue, dating back to JFK.

Don Jr. and Eric vet each cabinet member, report to their father, who then will make his decision based on the info given. There's no conflict of interest and contrary to your beliefs, that's exactly how you run a company, and exactly how this country should be ran. I want him to hire based on merit.

What I have seen in these past few threads about Trump is that when someone brings up the fact that Trump has a real potential and verybliklely the reality of a conflict of interest due to hus business interests his supportersknee jerk and pooh it as fear-mongering. . The fact that Trump 's business interests are so international and he is POTUS Elect there is a greater chance of conflict of interest by the nature of that alignment. Couple that with the fact that Trump says he is not going to divest his business interests butvwill have his kids run the business that makes for extremely high potential of conflict. The fact that he refused to disclose his tax returns leaves at best an impression of lack of transparency and at worse lack of honesty. If his children were not directly involved in his business or were in a business but not in an ownership or CEO level position no one woukd care. They are too closely connected and therefore the potential for conflict is it!

 

Everything Trump has is because of his father. Everything his kids have is because of their father.
