The drug / crime problem in our inner cities, because that's where the problems are, are the problem of the democrats in general, and as you pointed out have been for decades.

Don't take my word for it, name a major city in this country with drugs and crime out of control, then google which party has control of the politics. which in turn have control over the monies, the legislation, the school systems, and how resources are delegated to address these problems.

Meth became illegal around 1970 or 1975. Crack became an epidemic because it's highly addictive and dealers gave the first away doses for free and got their customers hooked.
