This is a political stunt by the rich because refugees do not demand living wages like 20$ an hour to mix coffee for the richer half of America.

The CEO made 20 million in this scheme from the unfree market in 2015 and much more to date.

This should separate the economic liberals from the social liberals,

    Uhh, uhmmm, errr...

Ok so basically Starbucks is going to adopt discriminatory hiring practices?

Because its not like they have an infinite amount of jobs to hand out.

They're going to have to turn people aware who aren't "refugees", ie they're going to discriminate against people who aren't "refugees".

This just proves once again that the identity obsessed radical elements of the Left are in fact the worst racists humanity has known.

    Yea.

And will the ACLU be filing laws suits over this?

    I sure hope so.

Boycott Starbucks for their discriminatory hiring practices.

I wish I was a Starbucks patron so I could boycott them but as it already is I have never had the desire to buy their lousy, overpriced coffee or partake of their pretentious, liberal atmosphere.

I'm sure Starbucks will package it as affirmative action, rather than discrimination. Not likely to affect business as snowflakes have little choice but flock there for "free wifi". Especially if the parents are hosting a gathering and they opt to make themselves scarce, rather than answer questions about "grades" or "job prospects" ...

    Haha ya.

I even questioned including the "boycott Starbucks" line because I didn't want people to think I actually patronize that cesspool.

I'd sooner drink a chlorine martini than one of their triple grande venti iced one pump sugar-free non-fat half-fat half-caf de-caf dolce soy caramel macchifrappumochalatteatinos.

How did I come up with that gibberish?

Fun fact: I googled "stupid ass coffee names" and went to the first link ...which was HuffingtonPost. :roflol:

If Starbucks had a need for 10,000 people, seems a shame that American Citizens aren't on their priority hire list. I'll pass on Starbucks, and their "refugees".

"And we will start this effort here in the U.S. by making the initial focus of our hiring efforts on those individuals who have served with U.S. troops as interpreters and support personnel in the various countries where our military has asked for such support."

First Trumpeters cheer as the people who supporter our troops are detained at airports. No they go into a rage when someone talks about hiring them. This is what happens when a hatred of immigrants surpasses even a love for our own troops.

This would be a good time to start collecting Starbucks memorabilia before the big fall. Too bad for me I never take my own advice.

I wonder if he did this in 2011 with Obama's ban on Iraqis traveling here, or if that patsy titbag Schumer cried about it. What's the deal with all these left wingers actually crying about everything? Make yourselves look even weaker why don't ya. He's right, we ARE living in an unprecedented time in America... Never thought I'd see the day where people promoted the threat of the safety of our country just because they dislike the guy trying to make it safe. Progressives and liberals seem to stoop to a new low daily. Then we have those overprivileged Hollywood morons that live in their million dollar super secure homes telling us that WE need to let these refugees in. They don't even talk about their awards, they instead focus on making everything political. It's a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing shame the Stranger Things cast got up there and made their speech political. An absolute (*)(*)(*)(*)ing shame. (*)(*)(*)(*)ing bastards.

I've been boycotting Starbucks for a very long time. My fiance won a Starbucks gift card for $50 when she was in college and gave it away because neither of us give them our business.

Maybe conservatives should protest this and use the same tactics liberals do, maybe start smashing Starbucks windows and lighting them on fire.

    What's good for the goose...............am i right?

You gave it to someone who could have potentially spent more than the 50 while at Starbucks. You should have destroyed it...either that or encrusted it in your own feces and mailed it to Starbucks corporate office.

It's about safety. Apparently you don't get that, so there's no sense in debating it with you. If it was Obama banning the travel of Iraqis or something, I'm sure you wouldn't have an issue.

You're right... But we always happen to take the adult route, which means driving to the polls and voting.

    Most hippies never learn.

Go have your "love in" Starbucks. Continue to pretend there is no devil or sin or consequences.

Meanwhile, Trump will take your attacks and abuse and endeavor to do what a president is supposed to --- 1) the safety of the citizens, and 2) the economic well being of the nation.

Well, she DID ask me if I wanted it and I told her I'd just throw it away. She laughed because she knew the answer she'd get. I haven't had anything from Starbucks since 2007 and I haven't bought anything from them since 2006.

Hire 10,000 unwashed migrants and lose 1 million customers.

It is about rampant phobia so toxic that even though who have gone through multiple background checks and who have already put their lives at risk to serve in our interest overseas are treated. It is about useless feel good actions that won't make us any safer. It is about trying to justify the removal of basic constitutional protections, like due process, in the name of knee jerk paranoia. It is about sacrificing real liberty in the name of illusionary security.

Why? I suggested that Obama should go through impeachment trials when he denied due process. Heaven forbid I object to Trump's authoritarian nonsense as well.

Starbucks is offering to hire the people who risked their lives in our country's interests and to support our country's cause -- they are willing to hire people who were willing to die to put America first. Meanwhile Trump wants those same people detained at airports. Hell, I always thought they had terrible coffee, but I may have to start going there now.

This has nothing to do with the military and everything to do with the safety of the country you live in. You should be thankful we elected a president who finally gives a (*)(*)(*)(*) about the people. Say what you will about him. It's too bad the ban is just temporary. Go tell the thousands of family and friends who lost someone on 9/11, or the family and friends of those killed in the night club or San Bernadino that this safety move is about sacrificing real liberty.

We have enough crazies already, we don't need to pile onto that.
