The article doesn't even mention Russians. But the OPer rants bigotry against Russians. The OP article piece doesn't mention Hispanics, but the OPer attaches RACE to it because that is how RACISM operated - they think of issues and people ONLY in bigoted and racial terms.

Iran-Contra,... you have to go back a decade earlier when the "New Left" formerly the counter culture movement who's leaders were Marxist, red diaper babies, terrorist (Weather Underground) had infiltrated the Democrat party and Congress. After back stabbing the American soldier who were on the battlefields in South East Asia and then back stabbing the RVN in 1975 and not wanting the United States to win the Cold War and siding with the Soviets the "New Left" would pass the "War Powers Act," force a "total force concept" on our military and basically surrendered and no longer wanted to stop Communist expansion in the world. They would go further supporting the Soviets with passing the "Boland Amendment."

FYI: The anti Vietnam war movement wasn't an anti war movement but it's leaders were against the United States and the RVN winning the war in South Vietnam. There's a war museum in Hanoi that dedicates an entire wall to the counter culture movement in America and the likes like "Hanoi" Jane Fonda and the self proclaimed war hero and leader of the North Vietnamese ally, the Vietnam Veterans Against the War.

The Vietnam War was just one battle of the Cold War just like the Soviets war in Afghanistan and the "Iran-Contra Affair" was just a strategic move made by the Reagan administration during the Cold War.

For three decades the left in America loved the Soviets (Russians) then after Ronald Reagan won the Cold War the left started hating Russia. Why ??? Because the left are pissed off that the Soviet Union lost the Cold War.

In 1991 President G.H. Bush (41) made a promise to Mikhail Gorbachev, tear down the "Wall," end the Soviet military occupation of Eastern Europe and no NATO troops will ever put a foot on Poland or any other country bordering Russia. That NATO would slowly be dismantled since the mission of NATO was to kill commies and Russians.

So the "Wall" came down, Soviet occupation forces went home and the Russian bear went in too hibernation.

A couple a years later America had it's first counter culture, draft dodger in the White House, William J. Clinton and crooked Hillary. Clinton's Secretary of State Albright who has hated Russians going back to WW ll convinced President Clinton to restart the Cold War by expanding NATO and putting NATO troops on Russia's borders.

Guess what happened ? The Russian bear came out of hibernation.
