He is indispensable as a bridge between Trump and Putin,
he is also very effective in such efforts of dealing with Islamic terrorists.
Let's see how Trump would make him stay.

What a pity because he's the one who had enlightened Pres. Trump on foreign policy from day one. Hopefully he will remain in some capacity so he can continue to do so. His mistake is that he didn't reveal everything he said to VP Pence... which was basically to tell the Russians not to react to Obama's anti Russian provocations and thereby making it more difficult for Trump to better relations.

I wonder how the Generals and others will take it. Gen. Flynn was very respected and very popular.

I think the problem with Flynn was his relationship with Russia, and that he might have been compromised in some way. He had a paying job for RT and attended a party and sat with Vladimir Putin. ..so he did have quite a bit of contact. If the Russians have anything on him, it could be highly dangerous considering the high position he had.

Flynn did the best thing by resigning.

Best person to do the job has such contacts with Russia.

I don't understand why posters want Russia treated as the enemy.

Obama made a huge error thinking he was elected to run Russia, Crimea and Ukraine.

He's none of the above and is now unemployed. Fired by two administrations is going to look nice on his resume.

Pretty sleevy excuse to fire him.
One would think they could have found a reason that at least made sense.

I'm not a mod or anything but I do believe there's a rule against using sources behind a paywall/signwall, like the WSJ, just saying

The real reason is usually the one that remains unpublished

His mgment style was abrasive.. He wasn't honest and he trashed the white house. Nobody liked him.. He was called "right wing nutty".

Sally Yates told Trump 3 weeks ago that Flynn had told Russia not concern themselves with Obama's sanctions.

Only two ways to see this. Either Trump hires the wrong people, or he is disloyal and politically fickle with the good people he put in place.

As a Trump supporter, both me and my wife, had hoped Trump would have picked Bolton. Maybe that can happen now. Trump has to learn that he has very few friends in the government, the press and has many enemies in his own party. What Flynn did wasn't any big deal but the it's always the cover up that brings you down. The mistakes Flynn and Conway did were rookie mistakes but the commies are out for blood. When you have (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)s like Cummings, Cornyn, Graham, McCain out to destroy the President then he needs not to give them anymore ammunition.

I suggest just leave him alone,
he already had enough and he do have a life outside WH politics.
The set up is quite solid and the reason furnished could even hold water.
in UK they call it "God save the queen".

Leave him alone? I completely disagree. There needs to be a full investigation and he needs to testify before congress.
