Russia cannot be held ' accountable ' for Ukrainians rejecting the violent coup against their democratically-elected leadership nor for 96% of Crimeans voting by referendum to return to Russian sovereignty.

And as far as the topic goes, Putin went into the Crimea for one reason. The natural gas deposits there and offshore under the Black Sea.
Putin was quick to throw a pipeline in... But this pipeline can easily be retooled to flow natural gas in the opposite direction.

I agree, strangely enough. We don't tend to agree on much, but this is one of those issues.

This all started with the EU's association agreement and the subsequent pro-EU coup. All reputable Western looking agencies consistently show 80%+ support for annexation in Crimea.

The referendum was odd in that the talking point was that it was rigged, but nobody proposed a follow up referendum. They didn't want one. I wonder why. Could it be that they knew the will of the Crimean people?

And Pence is a liar, also. Saying Flynn lied to him - Pence was heading the transition team and he was told about Flynn.
Our allies must be shaking their heads in disbelief at this corrupt and incompetent regime.

 

Trump has compared us to Russia on a moral level and has absolutely refused to condemn Putin for his policies. He speaks and behaves very differently from Pence and every other Republican. I've also noticed that he reacts frequently to any news relating to his potential ties to Russia. He even felt compelled to tweet a(nother) lie about that in particular during the hearing with Comey.

I think he's getting a little hot and bothered.
