There is a difference between peaceful protests and violent protesting that burns flags and that impedes a functional society promoting messages of barbaric actions like beheadings. There needs to be zero tolerance for violent protests. Deport them or put them in jail.

 

Even the people that fund violent protests should be deported or put in jail, and their assets frozen. Like little George Soros, his assets should be frozen and he should go to jail if he continues to provide funding to violent protests.

No, it isn't. The tea party was an astroturf movement. It was set up and run by a small gaggle of conservative public relations firms and lobbying shops on K Street. They used Citizens United to hide the fact that they were funnelling money and management into these groups. Every single major tea party organization was a front for either a DC lobby shop or the Kochs. One of them was an outright fraud run by an ambulance chaser lawyer in Nashville who pocketed people's money. The wind (or should I say the money) went out of the tea party's sails right after the 2010 mid term elections.

My older brother was killed in Vietnam 5 years into Nixon's secret plan for peace with honor. He was a Captain who could have gotten out after two tours but he ended up doing 5 tours because he didn't want to desert his men. The last time I spoke to him he urged me not to join because by that time he like many others he had realized that is was a bull (*)(*)(*)(*) war. I also know many others who served with him and hundreds of others who served there. None of them blame that bloody debaucle on anti-war protesters. In fact many of them became anti-war protesters after finding out that that war was concocted by greedy war profiteers who made fortunes while our brave young men died in the jungles.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the left characterize the TP protesters as old white men? Seems to me old white men are retired for the most part and do have time to protest. I might add they didn't trash one Starbucks.

The vote on Brexit was so close that it was well within the margin of error of all the polls.

Trump lost the popular vote by a margin the polls predicted accurately.

Trump won the electoral college by a margin spread across several states that was so thin that you could put every voter that tipped the balance inside a single stadium.

Trump has no mandate, and Bannon well knows it.
