Not much chance of that! What the left tries to bury of the past is blatantly obvious today! Laziness was the catalyst for servitude in the old south and it still plagues the democrats today! Trifling existence, sub standard compensation, no ownership, no rights and tasked to supply food stuff, house work, yard work and surrogate mother while the elitist sip julips and bath themselves in the warm sun ;)

    Think about it!

However, the photos of Byrd and HRC were not photo shopped as you claim. No one shopped the embrace, kissing, or the shaking of hands between Byrd and HRC.

I never claimed that photo was fake. I'm talking about the shameful fake of him in klan robes. When you have to fake photos to prove your point, you have no point.

Do people really not understand past and present tense?

Then don't complain to me about what others do. That doesn't change the fact that Robert Byrd was an organizer for the KKK, of segregation and racism as a Democratic Party member in the Houses of Congress extended throughout his career as proven by his record and his statements.

The left becomes very defensive when faced with the actual truth.

I love past tense, it keeps those folks presently honest, well to a certain degree anyway ;)

It was your choice to share the faked image, not anyone else's. Byrd left the KKK. He ended up fighting for civil rights. Hence why those who are attacking him use fake images instead of facts.

Check again. You're mistaken, I didn't use the KKK/Byrd photo shopped image. That was Mitchscove. I did however use:

    Pretty typical, really

Democrats started the kkk, so it makes sense.
David Duke is a Robert Byrd wannabe.

As a representative of the Electronics Industry Association from 1995 to 2001, I had the privilege to meet with most of the elected people in the Houses of Congress regarding proposed regulations affecting the Electronics Industry. In one several phone calls to and from the Honorable Senator Robt. Byrd, he tried to finagle an digital camera. Please note, not one of the people working for the Honorable Senator in the Senate building were Black.

I wonder if just maybe Byrd "left the KKK" for the same reason LBJ "joined the civil rights cause"?

    You remember LBJ, don't you?

He was the President who was quoted as saying (among other despicable things) "Give me the Civil Rights Bill and I'll have them n****rs voting Democrat for the next 200 years!"

    Yeah - that LBJ.

As a native Texan, it shames me to admit that horrible man hailed from my beloved state.

People who join a group of $hi+heads like the KKK have something inherently warped deep inside of them -- so deep, it's like a malignant tumor with deep-reaching roots that cannot be extracted.

No, friend....beliefs like that don't go away due to some epiphany in which they awaken to a grand, enlightened disposition.

    He was who he was.

It takes something more earth-shattering than a simple personal realization that "Maybe I was wrong?" for a lifetime politician to change his mindset.

No - I truly believe that, like LBJ, Robert Byrd "changed" out of political necessity.

That kind of "change"...well, is it really change?

Be realistic. LBJ, Robert Byrd, and Strom Thurmond were all cut from the same southern Democrat cloth. LBJ started pushing for the Civil Rights Act of '64 - and it so angered segregationist Democrats like Byrd and Thurmond that Thurmond even switched parties. He knew the Civil Rights Act was nothing but whitewash by the Democrats to sway blacks to affiliate more closely with the Democratic Party...just as LBJ said!

And he was right. Democrats to this day only care about black people because they know if they keep giving them "free stuff" that they'll vote for the party that butters their bread quicker and thicker.

If they really cared about them, they'd stop doing everything in their power to keep them subservient and in a constant state of dependency latched on to Uncle Sugar's teat.

Democrats placate blacks and keep them beholding...and it keeps them voting - plain and simple.

So what do Republicans do for blacks? Well, aside from freeing them from slavery, Republicans treat black people like everyone else! What a novel concept! Instead of selling them on the notion that everything is rigged against them and they need Democratic politicians to "level the playing field", Republicans make sure black people have the same opportunities to excel and better themselves as everyone else.

What encourages self-improvement more effectively: handouts en masse to an entire race of people with some sort of guarantee of an equal outcome...or opportunity to strengthen themselves by learning how to become self-sufficient?

Democrats know fully well that most people will choose the easiest way to get "free stuff"....and I mean blacks, whites, Hispanics...they don't discriminate when it comes to buying votes! That's why they make it as easy as possible for everyone to get something for nothing. And along the way, they make sure to keep reminding them that it's the evil, rich, white, racist Republicans who want to "keep them in chains".

    BULL$HI+!

But it works....and it keeps the Democrat voter rolls fat fat fat!

Maybe Democrats are unaware of their own history. This should fix that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wz_0utCrm0

That's too true. It's denial as a way of life.
